But guys!
It wouldn't be the Suns if they closed out consistently. That - and stellar PG play - is what we've come to expect!

This is true...I've been following the Suns for long enough to know all about this.
The thing is I don't even care at this stage if they aren't consistent closers - I just wish they would try something different other than long distance chucking. There has to be a better way...even with our unbalanced roster.

YES. We do need to find new ways to choke.
They've gotten very, very predictable over the last few years. Everybody shoot 3's!

Re: Suns inability to close out games
How about bringing in J Chill as primarily a "closer guy?" He won't chuck up 3's, and his defence and rebounding is above average.
Last 6 minutes of the game,
Nash
Dudley
Hill
Chilly
Gortat
That's probably our best defensive unit right there. It still allows us to run, but forces us to attack the paint more instead of jacking up 3's.

Chills when we need boards, drive to get a foul
MP for outside threat
But yeah - I've said before - we have a sudden wealth of defenders

Well Frye is rebounding at an acceptable rate during crunch time. According to 82games.com, during 'clutch' time, he's rebounding at a rate of 12.1rpg per 48 minutes. He's also launching a crazy amount of threes (7.1 per 48 minutes of clutch time) and has connected on 0%. Despite his horrendous shooting during these moments, he still has one of the highest +/- ratings in the NBA during clutch time--Which indicates to me that his rebounding and defense are making up for his offensive woes.
