We need more stars on this team. D'Antoni can't win without them.

Donnie needs to suck it up and start getting real with Denver.

Im just venting a little. Between the game and the so called cable tech I had to deal with on the phone, I needed to let lose. I do feel better though.

Boy Donnie, if you sit on your ass too long...and let's face it, I am having visions of Lebron....and the Knicks lose Melo over Gallo or Fields ( two nice supporting cast players) not only will the Knicks be a laughing stock but also this town will drive you back to Indiana...

The same guys who people are so reluctant to give up for Melo are the same guys who currently leading this team to a soon outstanding .500 record!

Well, good job if two 22 year old rookies can carry this team to a .500 record, the future is looking bright.

Last time I checked Melo is only 26.

Thats good...lets just sit here and wait for Gallo/Chandler/Fields to develop into Carmelo Anthony.

The case of the lovable losers. "Ah shucks, he plays so hard and says the right things." Most of these guys are a dime a dozen. Reminds me of the guys trying to convince everyone Eddy was better than DHoward.

People really need to stop pretending Donnie doesn't know how to do his job. The reason Melo isn't in a NYK uni tonight is not because Donnie is waiting for those players to become Melo

I wasn't aware I gave you a third option.

What don't people understand that WE WON'T HAVE ALL OF THEM. It just won't happen.

moocow007 wrote:But you wouldnt just ne getting Chandler. Brewer, the 1st and apparently also someone else and an exhorbitant amount of immediate cash savings also is gotten. Money doesnt matter to fans but it does for guys who get to save it and saving money in this type of scenario has been the senior Kroenkes MO (this from a Denver columnist).

Brewer is a free agent too, right? Let me put it this way, do you think any team would trade a two-way 7 footer for two SF's (coming into free agency) and a 1st round pick if their main objective is to win basketball games? The clear answer is no. Now if the Nuggets main driver is $$ savings, then yes saving $20M is significant. My point was if they are concerned about putting the best product on the court then you never take two decent SF's over a 7 footer, especially not when they can become free agents. A quality PG and a center with a back to the basket game are the hardest assets to acquire in basketball.

Edit: Now if the pick was a high one then maybe, but it's not.

26 with a lot of mileage. Look at A'mare too. Make no mistake, if we get Melo we are in win now mode for the next 3 years. Him and A'mare are old for their age.

I guess the Lakers are smarter than a lot of people on this board.

I dont buy that lakers talk. Adding Anthony shakes that teams foundation. The article is funny though.
If the opportunity presented itself, the Los Angeles Lakers would trade a big man to obtain Denver’s Carmelo Anthony.

“I told Derrick Caracter that if Denver gave us Anthony straight up, that we would trade Derrick Caracter for him,” Coach Phil Jackson said Wednesday afternoon.

Phil Jackson is giving Melo just about the hardest DIss one could publicly. He just smacked the taste out of Melo and his Camp's mouth. That's a brutal comment to the press.
