They can only ask for what they have the leverage to get. When they show that they have that sort of leverage, Donnie will meet the offer. Otherwise, we will be bidding against ourselves.

if mike d is still our coach we need shooters and he is a shooter not to mention a 90 percent FT shooter

Would you truly, HONESTLY be content to make a championship run with a core of Amar'e Stoudemire, Danilo Gallinari, and a true PG?

No, but I'd love to make one with Amare, Melo, and Gallo

If that PG is Chris Paul or Deron Williams, then yes, I would!

Which means you'd be OK with Amar'e battling for a chip at the C? Or Gallo off the bench?

Is it really such a pipe dream? If we don't get Melo, we still have max cap space in 2012 right?

???

Melo is a SF. If you want Gallinari to start, he'd be a PF. Which means Amar'e would be the C. Am I missing something?

Mozgov (2nd year improved player)
Amar'e
Gallo
Fields (2nd year improved player)
Deron

That's a very good starting 5 there with good balance!

Gallo and chandler can be replaced they will never be number 2 option on any team they are 3 option both are. If we are going to get carmelo we are going to have trade both player whether you guys like or not there both small fowards.

What you are missing is how does keeping Gallo prevent us from having a Center?

The only thing that keeps Amare at C is D'Antoni

Dear SAS,

It ain't about what Melo is worth. It is about not giving up the assets that you don't have to.

Sincerely,

Sane Knicks fans.

What gives you the notion that Melo is a lock for us?

If we sign Melo in the offseason, we lose Chandler, Turiaf, and the MLE.

WE
LOSE
ASSETS
ANYWAY.

Dear SAS,

Dear cheese noodles. Please understand that the difference between winning teams, like Boston and LA, and the losing teams, like Isiah's Knicks, is they don't go gongho on trades.

Winning teams like Boston? Kevin Garnett trade? Seems Boston went "gongho" and it worked out for them..........

The package going back to Minnesota, Al Jefferson and Theo Ratliff's expiring contract, Gerald Green, Sebastian Telfair and Ryan Gomes, along with a future first-round draft pick and the return of a first-rounder the Wolves surrendered in the Wally Szczerbiak-Ricky Davis trade in January 2006. Minnesota also receives cash considerations in the deal.

Did you read what I wrote? If you want Gallinari to start, we'd have to play Amar'e at the C.... Unless you want Melo or Gallo to play the SG.

We legit could miss the playofffs w this team...4 games out of 9th place?

This point I don't even care about leverage, give them fields And Chandler and be done w it already... This team has fallen so far the last month.

Who cares whether he starts or comes off the bench? I would rather have him than not have him.

Usually the core of a champ team starts... with few exceptions (Manu in SA, etc)

No we're going to play 5 guys all game now. That's why people would trade anyone because we literally can for our new 5 man team.

Gallo is not power foward he will get out rebound like tonight when he had a chance to grab a rebound
in secound quarter but was to slow to get it. This love affair with gallo needs to stop he can be replace he good young player but he is not all that.
