He is the best shooter of the 3. But his season fg% is 46.9. Flynn has played the majority of PG minutes since the first Toronto game. His fg% in those games has been 46.7. Their overall scoring is comparable. Ridnour is the more consistent jump shooter, especially from 3, but Flynn is a decent shooter, and he's much better at getting to the basket.

Flynn is a turnover machine, that's true. Ridnour is much smarter, he plays more within himself and rarely makes the kind of crazy decisions Flynn seems to have a propensity for. Flynn seems to go for the spectacular more, which can lead to either very good things or catastrophes, sometimes on back to back plays. But even if Ridnour is turning the ball over twice a game as opposed to Flynn turning it over 4.5 or 5 times a game, how much does that matter? You're only talking about a couple of possessions. The overall difference between Ridnour and Flynn is small. They're nuts to let Ridnour take his starting job back from a player with potential to be important for their future (either on the court or in trade) over a 3 possession a game difference on a lottery team.
