He is the best shooter of the 3. But his season fg% is 46.9. Flynn has played the majority of PG minutes since the first Toronto game. His fg% in those games has been 46.7. Their overall scoring is comparable. Ridnour is the more consistent jump shooter, especially from 3, but Flynn is a decent shooter, and he's much better at getting to the basket.

Flynn is a turnover machine, that's true. Ridnour is much smarter, he plays more within himself and rarely makes the kind of crazy decisions Flynn seems to have a propensity for. Flynn seems to go for the spectacular more, which can lead to either very good things or catastrophes, sometimes on back to back plays. But even if Ridnour is turning the ball over twice a game as opposed to Flynn turning it over 4.5 or 5 times a game, how much does that matter? You're only talking about a couple of possessions. The overall difference between Ridnour and Flynn is small. They're nuts to let Ridnour take his starting job back from a player with potential to be important for their future (either on the court or in trade) over a 3 possession a game difference on a lottery team.

It's not as if their problem this season has been their offense. They score plenty of points. Do people on here actually believe that Ridnour is significantly better than Flynn or Telfair? I just don't think there's much that distinguishes any of the three overall.

our offense is far from good. sure we score a lot of points but we get a lot of possesions to score them..we have way too many turnovers to be a good offensive team, we need to learn to get fastbreak points easier.

There ain't much between Luke, Jonny and Bassy but I still think Luke's input this season has been great. Agree completely with Klomp, before the mini road trip to NO and HOU without him we looked terrible. Luke's a better defender, a smarter player and has a great attitude towards the game. He's had some HUGE games this year for us, the DET home game, the SAC season opener and the game at CLE. Although Luke's had obviously, more minutes than Bassy/Jonny I can't see either of them 2 putting up a 20+ game without having horrible percentages.

I think one of the things that bothers me most is that people rip on johnny for the TOs, but Luke makes the same type of plays late in the game. I would say Ridnour is a considerably better shooter, but he is hardly a set up man. When was the last time late in the game Luke made a big play? Not to say that he hasn't done it, but merely that those big plays he makes are always him hitting a shot. I love that he can do that, but I would like it even better if we had a point who could get stops/set up other scorers for big plays.

Flynn almost sunk us with that layup last night, but I don't think Ridnour would have made any better of play or decision. Even though he is older and supposed to be more seasoned.

Krap, we might be overselling the fact that Ridnour was out, but Flynn and Telfair did get those two wins and they looked pretty good collectively. And Beas played quite a bit against NO. I think there IS something to be said for the wins sans Luke.

completely agree, he would have been HUGE in the denver game when our pg's were getting open look after open look, i think flynn has got to keep starting when luke gets back but of course more minutes can be handed out depending on the match up and how the opposition are playing us.
