BTW Tomorrow could be Carmello's last Home game as a nugget. That is if he gets traded here. After tomorrow they go on a 3 Game Road Trip Leading up to All-Star Weekend.

Anthony is the Answer. Mike DT is not.

Maybe if we make a thread that actually spells his name correctly we'll get him...

Get Melo, don't let Gallo stand in the way of that ... keep developing Mozgov, make him the FT starter and keep Amar'e away from center minutes ... keep cap room for and an eye on CP3, Deron, DH in 2012 ... and once we get Melo, bring in a young, defensive-minded coach who will get his players to play with energy every night, my choice is to bring Lawrence Frank back home to NYC.

This Lawrence Frank talk has to stop. There are 2 coaches the Knicks should be targeting who may be somewhat realistic if we get Melo: Phil Jackson with his talent fetish and Byron Scott who may not be able to stand the abyss much longer. Lawrence Frank is not Red Auerbach and I don't get the fascination.

He could be from Miami or Chicago for all I care as long as he values defense, plays size, and gets his team to play with energy and an effective gameplan on the defensive end.

The only way MD will succeed here is if we get Melo-Amar'e-Paul in which case any coach can succeed. You need good coaches for when you don't have great players, not when you do. Anybody can win with great players.

Frank is not the answer...but Sloan is not leaving Utah. He just signed a one year extension to continue to coach there. I'd be very surprised if he ever leaves Utah.

Phil Jackson, JVG and Pop are top 3 on my wish list out of all coaches in existence. I'd put Pop first but he's least likely for obvious reasons. Any other coach that could be possibly had would be way unproven or just as unlikely to leave their situations as Pop. At that point, we should at least ride it out another year with D'Antoni. If money was no object though and Donnie was looking to replace Mike...especially with Phil leaving the Lakers and JVG having been on the sidelines for a few years now, I would hope these guys would get a call first. Especially with Melo and STAT here, that's enough fire power to entice both guys and allow them to implement their systems.

Felton is a good PG for the triangle. I think Jackson would be very successful with those 3 (Ray, Melo, Amar'e). As for Jeff...offensively, Melo and STAT would be a more potent version of T-Mac and Yao IMO and I think Felton would be a nice fit on a JVG coached team. Would love to see how well he'd have this team playing defense. I think the rest of the roster is very capable of being a good defensive team around 2 stars like Melo and STAT.

Of course, this is all meaningless until Mike is officially on the hot seat. Cue the posters who will yell at us for wanting to replace Mike.

I wish our home fans would not chant " WE WANT MELO " if we are loosing a game.We need all of our players as focused as possible to win every night. If we want a player who's name is mentioned in the talks to be productive, then its probably not a good idea to chant that ****. Most of us want Melo but have a brain and STFU when you are at the games please. I understand these guys are paid a lot of $$$ and should have thicker skin, but your just feeding into the negativity they may be feeling at a time we need them to forget about Melo.

I'm willing to bet if the Knicks don't get Melo at the deadline that they will lose him...and it'll be Chris Paul summer of 2012.
