OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

That would require such a trade to be available. There is no one who really fits the bill that would be available for what the Wolves can offer. Iggy, as mentioned ad infinitum, is way too expensive and would be declining in athleticism just as the rest of the team gets enters their prime. He is not what we're looking for.
My hope is that we can somehow come away from the Melo madness with either Afflalo or Fields, but remember, Kahn likes to make draft day deals, too. Not making a big splash at the deadline is not indicitive of surrendering our major goals.

With Al Jefferson we would probably be around the 25 win mark right now.

Also talking about trading Beasley because he's upped his trade value and while he can be a great scorer he's just average or worse everywhere else..especially defensively. Also we'd like to see Wes play more and we have a glut of wings, so if we can get an upgrade out of Beas you have to jump on it.

And this is why targeting specific players is a good idea, and accumulating assets and hoping for the best (like Kahn did) is not such a good idea.Iggy, as mentioned ad infinitum, is way too expensive
We're going to lose that cap space anyways, so we might as well use it on a good player rather than just using it on extensions or draft pick salaries that we could give out anyways. The only difference is in Glen Taylor's checkbook, and frankly I don't care at all about that.and would be declining in athleticism just as the rest of the team gets enters their prime.
Personally, I would kind of like to start winning before our guys get to their primes 7 or 8 years from now, and Iggy would help with that. Much more so, for sure, than nothing would, which is the alternative.
