I would love to figure out a way to get Amir Johnson here from the Raptors, though he is pretty much their best player currently. He would be a great addition at PF. I'm no trade expert though and don't see a way to make it work. I would give up Memo, but we really need a SG and they have absolutely nothing that I would want in that department. Nothing in the trade machine looks realistic, given what they would give up and get in return.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

Why in the world would either the Jazz or the Lakers want to be trade partners? The Jazz/Sloan and Artest? Are you kidding me? He has a horrible looking contract for how badly he has been playing.

Amir Johnson would be a good pick-up since he is a rebounding machine but from the little I've seen from him this season he seems pretty limited on offense. What we really need is an knock down outside shooter.

Bell and Artest have the exact same strengths and weaknesses as shooting guards.

Good defense, terrible shooters.
Jazz on your face.

Any interest in Corey Brewer? Minny apparently wants to dump him.

hi,
im new here.
what about these trades:

trade 1:

a.k + c.j + fesenko + second round pick for kevin martin + shane battier + i.smith

trade 2:

a.k +memo for hamilton + prince + ben wallace.

these trades can make the jazz much better in my opinion and they work money wise.

lol at trade 1....that like a dream scenario there..

I honestly am not against trading for hamilton and price this team is in a win now mode more then every i'm for anything that makes them more competitive..ownership probably doesen't feel the same way.

ESPN had a rumor that Wesley isn't untouchable. Ship out CJ and a pick or something, we need wes back. Pick up some bench scorers next summer, we need a starting SG!

Wow Houston is interested in a Fesenko for Courtney Lee trade (according to rumors/reports). Why is this deal not done already? I love Fes but I feel like you pull the trigger on that thing ASAP if it's on the table. I've been a fan of Lee since he came out in the draft and he gives us another shooter/scorer. I think he would be a great addition, especially if it only costs you Fesenko (who I feel is expendable with Elson/Okur on the roster despite both of them being out right now).

Get it done KOC.

I also wonder how much of a chance we would have in landing Kevin Martin if Houston is looking to overhaul their roster...

Fesenko for Courtney Lee? I've heard stories reminding everyone that the Rockets were considering Fesenko over the offseason before he rejoined the Jazz and that the Rockets have been inquiring about Asik from Chicago but are reluctant to part with Courtney Lee who Chicago wants because they are trying to improve at SG. But haven't seen anything that says the Rockets would take Fesenko for Courtney Lee. Though salary-wise it works straight up.

WOW! Do we get to kick em all in the nuts on that deal too, or just perform the glass-bottom boat on their moms?

Somewhere Hakeem just had a single tear roll down his cheek and he is unsure why...

from someone who doesn't follow the team, why was Wes Mathews let go in the free agency. Seeing talk of Hamilton trade.

Cash flow. Jazz didn't want to pay the $10M signing bonus or go into luxury tax for him. Having said that, can't see them committing to Rip -- unless it saves them money short term by shaving the luxury tax bill.
