I was just listeining to the radio and Ian O'Connor came on saying the Knicks still have there eyes on building a big 3 and that Gallo's contract wouldn't fit in by the summer of 2012 so they would have to move him via trade even. If the Knicks don't see him in the plans in the future i say move him now in the Melo trade.

A number of teams are interested in Thunder forward Jeff Green, according to ESPN.com's Jeff Green.

"He's got a lot of value. A number of teams are interested. The Thunder are going to need a big man though ... that's what they're hunting for. There aren't a lot of them available right now," Ford wrote in a chat.

If you know something then when do you expect Melo to be a Knick? This weekend? Next week?

Very soon... :D

You don't move a player just for the sake of moving him if you don't have to. That's like saying you have 5 bucks in your pocket. You want a Big Mac which costs 3, and a drink and fries which costs 2.

Do you pay $5 for the Big Mac just because you may eventually spend the other 2 anyway?

You may be right but you also have to consider his wife. She wants to pursue her career in NY and has family here. Sure Melo will barely see his family but Lala will be around all year.

I admittedly don't know much about his wife. I have a relative that teaches and coaches at Towson Catholic where Melo went for 3yrs in High School. Most of his close friends and relatives have moved from Baltimore. His Mom (Mary) was hanging in until this past summer. Up until last year, she would still go to most of the TC games. This year nobody has seen her.

I thought long ago the Lakers or Clippers would be in the melo-drama. When he moved to Malibu. I am a Nugget fan and will have mixed emotions when he goes. Saw him go from thug in early days of HS to what he is today.

I just hope something happens quickly. All this superstars forcing their way out or joining forces is ruining my love of this game.

We all know Denver wants Chandler and either Gallo or Fields to get the deal done, there is no way they going to accept the deal we have now, All i'm saying you can kill two birds with one stone in this trade since Fields is on a rookie deal compared to what Gallo is making now. It gives you more cap relief going in to 2012 and flexibility and you aquire one of the best players on the planet. It's a win win situation.

It's the furthest thing from a win/win. Make Denver prove they can get better value for Melo before you offer them more. You don't throw away assets just for the hell of it.

Besides, after next season, Fields will have a cap hold of 5 mill, so how is keeping him any cheaper?

Boy, the press is having a field day painting Donnie as a stubborn old goat over his precious role players.

Look what Landry is making compared to Gallo
http://hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

Big difference in salary thats why Ian O'Connor made that point on the radio that if the Knicks are going to pursue Howard, Williams, or Paul in 2012 they are going to have to move Gallo.

If you think Denver is going to accept the current offer with just chandler/brewer trade, your kidding yourself, Like SAS said to get somebody like Melo your going to have to part with some pieces, nothing is for free.

So the deals are Curry/Chandler/AR/TD for Melo, and Felton, Gallo and Azi for D-Will. Right?

Can we trade TD twice? That would be a really good use of our assets.

Besides trading TD twice, you also expect Donnie to shuffle the Roster that much at the Trade Deadline? :-?
