Besides trading TD twice, you also expect Donnie to shuffle the Roster that much at the Trade Deadline? :-?

No, I actually made that trade up as a joke.

Stephen A: Knicks can't live on Amare alone
Whatever it takes -- sources say Felton's in the mix -- it's time to make the Melo deal

 , Yeah me too.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us get Billups while giving up Felton. It certainly doesn't effect our 2012 plans and having a MASSIVE expiring like that will surely help us too.

SAS

"It's time to stop playing games. It's time to stop acting as though the Knicks are a solid team just a star away from championship credibility. They are 26-25. A loss removed from .500 status. The epitome of mediocrity, playing little to no defense. Flip the proverbial coin around, omit Stoudemire from the equation, and what you have is a duplicate version of this season's Cleveland Cavaliers trouncing up and down the hardwood off 33rd Street and 8th Avenue."

More like hyperbole...no way we would be playing as bad as the Cavaliers

this team without amare would be pretty bad. it honestly wouldn't be much different then last year's knicks.

"Danilo Gallinari is good, with promise, but hardly worth holding on to if it means not getting Anthony's services. The same should be said about Wilson Chandler, or the likable, impressive Landry Fields, for that matter. And if two of those three is not enough to woo the Nuggets into making a deal, there are other options to consider -- as I've now learned."

SAS hit the nail on the head.

SAS says it how it is and he is right most of the time. If felton makes the deal happen you say ok let's do it I love felton and feel like he was a great pickup for Walsh a steal for what we are paying hm but if he brings you carmelo you do the deal billups is getting older but is still a good leader and can knock down an open shot and knows how to win and win it in the playoffs and you do this deal especial if you believe Paul will come afterward I always tnought Walsh wanted to make his own big 3 and then the only reason to keep felton really is to see if he can be our future pg and not Paul with billups he is a stop gap but a very good stop gap and you can win with him if felton is what it takes to get melo you do it!!!!!!

So if Walsh, along with the unprecedented three former GMs/executives on his payroll -- Glen Grunwald (ex-Toronto), John Gabriel (Orlando) and newly hired player personnel director Mark Warkentien (Denver) -- can't manage to put their heads together and get Anthony to New York, that may mean they won't get Paul, either.

And all of it begs the question: How good will you feel about the Knicks then? In the years to come? Especially with Stoudemire averaging 37 minutes per night right now, always trying to do too much simply because he has no choice? No doubt wearing himself down in the process.

Another good tidbit

The Knicks gotta do w/e it takes to get him here, even if it means giving up a little bit more than we expect the only thing we should not do is take on bad contracts other than that do what ever it takes.

Return to New York Knicks
