SAS doesn't give Knicks fans enough credit. It's not about not giving up guys. What it's about is really that Denver isn't saying "add X" or "take X" and we will do the deal. As soon as you agree to one of their terms, they will add another. So you wait for the deadline, so you can setup a take it or leave it scenario. It'll happen. Relax. SAS doesn't get that, for whatever reason. It's not about not wanting to or not being able to, it's about patience and making the move at the right time. -Jitpal

If you add melo you need at least one of chandler {not him}, Gallo and Fields to make a team. You cant compete with less. Its worth rolling the dice on free agency otherwise

Fields is a great glue guy and everyones surprise favorite but Gallo is more complete and a better addition to Melo/Amare because of his floor spacing, range, passing and star potential

Well he is talking about the knicks so.....

He said what he has been hearing around the league is that Felton may be included and Chauncey may be heading back.

As much as we like Gallo, Fields, and Chandler we have to look at ourselves and say.. Can these guys Win us a championship? The answer is No.
I think there is a better chance of winning a championship with Melo. The Celtics are getting old and the Heat and Bulls are going to be good for years to come. we have to get up there with these teams. They have established stars. No time to wait around. get Melo now!!!

good. Whatever. Chauncey isn't locked up long term, so if thats what it takes to get Melo here, so be it. Take Failton and be done with it. We're dreaming higher than Failton and Billups long term here anyways.

Gallo would be coming off the bench if Melo were here, wouldn't he? I too think he's the better overall player right now, but having Fields in the starting line up as a perfect 2 would go with Melo and Amare right now and would only get better as Fields grows, imo..

Dam i remember when he had his own show on ESPN at like 10 o clock like 4 years ago... I always thought that ESPN should have a late night thing like letterman or leno at 11 o clock but with SAS and all he does is have sports guests, and make jokes about sports, and talk about it.

I dont agree though with giving up Fields... Gallinari and Chandler i would do... but i would never trade fields in this melo trade unless its for chris paul and we already have carmelo

Ok thinking about it, what about a deal like this:

NY: Melo, Courtney Lee, Billups, Chris Anderson
Houston: Ronny Turiaf, Andy Rautins
Minny: Eddy Curry, Randolph
Denver: Chandler, Azibuike, Telfair, Mason, Douglas, TPE from Houston, TPE from Minny

I'm not going to calculate the savings for Denver, it's more than the $23 million we have discussed and they get Douglas on top of it. Minny is the same as before, they give up the same as before. Houston get's the center they reportedly want for nothing more than TPE and Courtney Lee. Knicks get Melo, take on Billups, Courtney Lee for the bench, and Birdman for backup center. Thoughts? -Jitpal

SAS pretty much going off on how CP3 Carmelo and Amare is gonna happen in NY... Can you imagine that like if that happened that would be so great i would literally have a orgasm without having sex... We probably wont ever see a better knicks team then carmelo, amare' cp3 on the knicks.

Better enjoy the Knicks for the next 5 years if they get these 3 guys cause its gonna be the golden age for this franchise. We wont ever be that good again IMO if we get these 3 guys.
