Gallo's Cap Hold would block CP3 like potentially Chandler's blocking Melo..... Felton's situation is irrelevant as CP3 would replace him

So, if the plan is to get Melo & CP3 it would seem kind of foolish to hold the Melo deal up because they want to keep Gallo around for one more year. How about Fields? Would his cap hold be small enough to make it work with CP3?

Should we be looking to try and acquire NeNe as well as Carmelo? I have not tried a trade checker yet, but it seems as though NeNe will be headed to UFA in the summer, and if we could include 1-2 more pieces, T-Wolves give up 1-2 more pieces, could we land him? Obviously our biggest hole is at the C, and even though I would hate getting rid of Gallo, we should look at doing it, because without size, we will never succeed in the East, to the point of a Championship. I would not mind using some if not most of our cap on getting him, although it may derail plans fro 2012.

Lakers beating Boston tonight and Bynum having a big game kills just about any thought of him being traded to Denver... looks like it's back to just us and Denver.

That deal was someone's pipe dream it was never gonna happen, so nothing to kill anyways.

Anyone who thinks Chauncey Billups is a defensive upgrade over Felton must be thinking of the Detroit Pistons Chauncey Billups because the Denver Nuggets chauncey billups stops nobody. He killed Denver in the playoffs last year by getting scorched by D-Wil and this year I think he lost an additional step. Granted he is a knock down shooter, he would kill us against Rondo, D-Rose and Miami when they have Lebron or D-Wade at point.

Billups was scorched by D-Will. Felton was scorched by Jameer....granted the new Felton is better but the old Felton still shows himself.

i agree with ya, id stick with Felt, but i wouldn't let it stop me from completing a deal. and i dont think it will happen either.

yea sounds like that to me.. if he were to resign with denver then it wouldnt be out of his hands.. just like lala said earlier she doesnt know whats going to happen time will tell

He expects or hopes to be traded.

Melo really has poor lift around the rim. That continues to concern me greatly.

Also the more I think about this and take stock of it, the more I think that Denver is just going to keep Melo unless he will agree to go to the Nyets. They can always revisit a trade right before June 30 (a day before the lockout).

I guess if I was going to go the other way I'd say he could mean that it's up to the Knicks to get him to NY.
