haha, I keep all of my old avis and sigs, but I change mine almost every month or two because I love making new designs and it gets boring.

It's always Vince so people still recognize who I am.

Sprite may be a fun, zesty, fizzy drink, but it just doesn't seem to compare after drinking Red Bull mixed with caffeine pills and crack.

I think perhaps the answer may be a new Calvin avatar. I do have the Compete Calvin and Hobbes, and it'd give me a good excuse to read it ... again ...

Let this be a lesson to the whippersnappers - if you want to change your avatar, do it before 1,000 posts!

I think I've had 3 so far first was just a suns logo, then I had Barbosa hitting a game winner against the bulls, but since Barbosa got traded and I don't really have a favorite Sun right now I'm just going with a superman logo. But I do agree that you start to identify posters by the avatar.

Tim Duncan may not be an EXCITING player or explosive, but I enjoy watching a player of his calibur execute passing, defense, rebounding, shot blocking and versitile post scoring. Sure, guys like Amar'e jump high and dunk ferociously...But where did that ever get us?

In 2005, for example, the Spurs beat the Suns in the WCF at their own game so to speak. Here are San Antonio's point totals from the 2005 WCF:

Game 1: 121
Game 2: 111
Game 3: 102
Game 4: 106
Game 5: 101

I always thought a team like the 2004 Pistons were boring to watch. Sure, that defense was air tight and tough as nails, but IMO that style of play became tedious to witness...

Edit: I'd also like to note here that I'm not bashing your avatar at all...I'm a Suns fan, so naturally I'm down for a little Spurs hating...

Yeah, they definitely beat us at our own game in terms of scoring high, but if you remember, we pretty much had the lead going into every 4th quarter. We had to play the absolute worst we could and they had to play the absolute best they could. Product of an inexperienced, injured team.

You're right, the Suns would typically play very well for three quarters, and the Spurs were able to get stops just long enough to create separation or make a timely three...Which IMO strengthens the "they beat us at our own game" notion, because that's EXACTLY what D'antoni wanted the Suns to do. He never expected the Suns to play great defense for 48 minutes, we didn't have the personnel for that; just get enough stops at the right time to pull away.

But yeah, there are unfortunate events and bad luck to consider as well, I try to stay away from those things because...Well, because it sucks and it's bulls*it.
