Dirk played like a pussy all night.

Jet sucked when it mattered.

Wasted an amazing effort from JJ and Chandler. I woulda said Marion too, but when you see someone in trouble pump faking at the top of the key and you lose your man under 5 secs and he makes you look silly and splashes it in your face to lose the game you lose the had a good night.

DIRK had 16-8-6.

You guys are not contradicting each other. Dirk had a statistical bad night and his play was even worse than his stats. Marion, Chandler, Barea, Terry and to some extent, Kidd al had good nights. If Dirk had even half his normal night, we would have won.

We might as well get use to that face if we are rellying on Kidd-Terry-Barea come playoff time. Dirk needs to get healthy. Roddy needs to get healthy. We need to find a Butler replacement not named Peja. This Mavs team we had dress tonight is not going anywhere.

Chill out guys. We were battling from 15 down in the first quarter, on the 2nd leg of a back to back and in Denver where we always have problem playing. Had Afflalo missed the jumper at the end we would've won and everything would be less gloomy than it is now. Or if Dirk's wrist wasn't bothering him, that FT would've been automatic as well.

If we have to take something out of this loss, is that if this was the old Mavs, we would've gotten blown out completely out of the building after the 1st quarter. But we didn't and actually had a chance to win the game. Chill out peeps

Dirk choked. He can blame the wrist or whatever but the fact is he got beat all night and if he cant even hit FTs in a clutch situation like that, then we are trouble. Plain and simple. We need someone that is capable of being the #1 option when he is stinking up the court like tonight

Relax buddy. You're overreacting. What about all those wins before that we pulled out of our butt when nobody except Dirk can play a decent basketball? Can't win every game.

Dirk got to the line, he didn't settle for a 20 foot jumper, he went down low. Drew the 6th foul on Melo. He wasn't going to stop him without a foul so much was clear from the start.

How can it get any better? Trouble is when you need to throw up a miracle dagger.

But yeah, he missed that FT, lets rebuild!

To blame Dirk for the loss is the most stupid thing i have heard in a while. All season long we didnt played such bad team defense as against denver last night, so can`t blame dirk alone for that.
We just didn`t had the same effort down the stretch as denver.

It seems like this board is (once again) ready to trade Dirk for a second rounder because he's so painfully bad, clearly the worst player on the team.

Just calm down, people! This was a regular season game that meant nothing, Dirk is still injured and missed one or two free throws at the end of the game which he'd normally make. Nothing to worry about. The Mavs can't win every game, can they?

I still love him, and he's plainly won us more games than he lost. But ahonui trying to blame everyone but him, kind of compelled me to respond.

Guys
I know I am old and decrepit, but dont make me stay up late policing the board. Let opinions you disagree with go. Makes your points and defend them. Dont make them personal. Have fun and let me sleep.

I don't blame any player for the loss, just Rick Carlisle and DIRK not being 100%.

Rick Carlisle is running P&R the whole game and not setting DIRK up in the block where he could take the smaller defenders straight to the rim.

Im not saying we need to trade Dirk. Even I think that would be ridiculous. I just think he should be and would be better suited as the #2 option. Unfortunately, we dont have anyone nearly capable of being the #1 on our team as it is right now.

What's ridiculous is this statement! You gotta be kidding me! He would be better suited if he had a #2 option not if he was a #2 option. This guy has carried this team for years and is still carrying this team. It's so frustrating reading comments like these when you see a guy do what he does and does it consistently to the point where they are always a high seed in the playoffs, they have been to the conference finals a couple times in Dirks career and were two games away from wining the finals. I realize Dirk has had times where he hasn't always completed the job but if you look at the teams that have won championships they had a whole lot more than Dirk has ever had.
