Everybody that was responsible for turning this franchise into a winning organization is gone now... and what has been left for us?

A front office that has already established a reputation for making salary dumps. A star player with one foot out the door. And a mediocre group that is, at best, first round fodder.

The winning days are gone. The Jazz might as well be any other small market team now. What made them extraordinary, what made them great and gave us fans so much to cheer for, is gone.

February 10th, 2011: The day the Utah Jazz franchise, for all intents and purposes, died.

so dramatic..... a lot of people fail to point out the jazz were in a miserable slump losing 10 of 14 to the likes of Washington, Houston, Golden State, Philly,etc when sloan decided enough is enough. the contending for championship days have been long gone. Isn't that the ultimate goal? No way was it going to happen under sloan.

That's because a lot of people recognize that short-term struggles, even ones that last a couple of years, don't define a franchise.
