Wiz and Blazer fans agreed on a deal on the trade board of Pryz and Luke Babbitt for Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong. If Rich Cho and Ernie made that deal, I'd do a cartwheel.

Babbitt's having a horrible rookie year, so maybe we can steal him. And Javale would probably be happy - I think they both went to Nevada.

FWIW, Przybilla is clearly still suffering effects from his injury. His per-minute production is way down this year. He really isn't any better than Armstrong at this point.

I'd still do this from a salary dump perspective (hopefully, we use the cap room to buy another draft pick) and to take a shot on Babbitt. It's just mildly disappointing that Pryz no longer looks like an effective backup center.

Uh oh:
And, yes, Babbitt has been learning a thing or two from a certain veteran teammate, former NBA all star Antoine Walker, who is attempting an NBA comeback and was assigned to the Stampede last month. "Antoine was guiding him, teaching him some tricks of the trade," Cronin said. "Someone like Antoine who has been through it all on the floor, I think you can learn a lot from a guy like that. I think it's good that Luke can wrack his brain, because their games are somewhat similar, they are skilled big men."

Nevermind. I don't want Babbitt if he's being mentored by Antoine Walker.

Yup. Nevermind. What are they thinking even letting Walker near the D League?

The Utah poster asking about Blatche got me started working on a 4-way. Here's what I have so far:

Wizards trade: Blatche and Hinrich
Wizards receive: Jefferson and Price

Jazz trade: Jefferson and Price
Jazz receive: Nene and Blake

Nuggets trade: Melo and Nene
Nuggets receive: Bynum, Blatche, and Walton

Lakers trade: Bynum, Walton, and Blake
Lakers receive: Melo and Hinrich

Definitely needs tweaking. Thoughts?

Unrealistic.....

Nuggets give up their two best players in Nene and Anthony and get back Bynum/Blatche/Walton?

Would never happen.

A regularly injured big man (Bynum), underachieving very poor player this year in Blatche and Luke Walton? Nah.........awful trade for Denver.

^ Yeah, the Denver side of things was giving me the most problems. Maybe the Wiz send a pick to Denver, while getting one back from LA? Jefferson's probably not worth that much, though.

With everyone saying Pryz is still rather broken, maybe we can get a pick instead of Babbitt, or as a cherry on top?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Even if Pryz is nothing more than a burly expiring contract and Babbitt is only a marginal prospect, I still make that trade. At worst, Babbitt can be a cheaper, younger, better Cartier Martin. The financial savings and another young shooter to play with Wall is well worth it.

Pacer fan here. I think Kirk Hinrich would be a nice addition to the Pacer roster but I haven't seen many Wiz games this year. Is Hinrich still a solid defender, capable of running a team and able to knock dow a shot? What would it take from the Indiana roster to get him? I threw the notion of James Posey and Brandon Rush for Kirk Hinrich on the trade board and it met with mixed reviews from both sides. Could he be had for an expiring contract?

I don't see the Wizards doing that trade. It doesn't save the Wizards any significant money. If we're overpaying for a vet, we're better off with that vet filling two needs (backup PG and backup SG) rather than acquiring Posey to ride the bench (he'd be behind Lewis, Howard and possibly Thornton on the depth chart).

Brandon Rush isn't much incentive. He's a borderline starting guard in this league with little upside. Young is a better player.

Blatche for Hansbrough and D.Jones? We get two hustling defenders and clear some longterm cap.

I don't have the foggiest idea what Wall's value is, but if I were EG I'd start gauging other teams interest. I think Wall still has enough trade value that he could net a very good return, however, his play has me supremely concerned he may never be a franchise type player, but I think teams still beleive he has that potential so they may overpay. He just has too many holes in his game. I think the Wiz should look to deal him while his value is still very high.

And get what for it...??? A dime a dozen good player who wont get any better...???

I rather keep Wall; even with all his flaws, you can see that he'll be a great player in the league..

By all means, YES!

no D, Favors is still 19 years old. He is IMO better than Bosh was at 19. This type deal is one that could have the Wizards end up drafting Nolan Smith, Derrick Williams, and someone like Kenneth Faried.

The deal would be essentially Blatche for Favors if you accept Harris and two firsts for Wall. I would do that.
The Wizards shoukd have drafted Derik Queen

I told you so :banghead:

Definitely way too early to see anyone buying into dealing Wall.. but realistically it's not a bad deal to think about.
