I agree that you can compare Rose and Williams as rookies with Wall.
However Paul had one of the best seasons ever for a rookie guard. Paul is one of 5 rookie guards to have a PER over 20 in over 1200 minutes. Paul did not have the turnover issues that most rookie PGs have. Although his raw shooting and scoring do not jump out. He got to the line and was ridiculously efficient when he did. The Hornets also improved by 20 wins the year they got Paul(the breakout season for West also contributed).
