Deron Williams shouldn't be blamed. Sloan wouldn't just retire out of the blue; he had obviously contemplated this for awhile before. Either that or KOC and Greg Miller are massive liars.

Are you really saying those three guys are untouchable to get a top-3-in-the-league PG?

yep maybe would trade Collison but D-will is a drama queen. He probly would leave after next year.

Danny Granger and 2 1st round picks for D-will

I totally get the drama queen argument. I just figured if you felt that way, you wouldn't want him anyway. And I'd think that position was justified.

We lack a closer we have lost so many close games because we run Danny Granger ISO which = epic fail. Our coaching staff doesnt call the right plays. But at least with D-will it would work sometimes.

Joe Johnson for Deron

Hawks don't need Joe with a Crawford/Deron backcourt

Jazz get a Jerry Sloan type of player in Joe Johnson and can draft Jimmer Fredette or Kemba Walker

Joe for Deron seems like a good deal. But the Hawks are playing good right now so I'm not sure they would do that trade. But stranger things have happened.

I don't think so, but Utah receives Memphis' 2011 first-round pick (Top 14-protected in 2011, Top-12 in 2012, Top-10 in 2013 and Top-9 in 2014-15. If after 2015, Jazz receive cash from Grizzlies.) (Ronnie Brewer trade 02-18-10).

^ if the Jazz can get the 15th pick, then they shouldn't have a problem in getting Jimmer

I think a Deron to Orlando trade would be intriguing for both teams.

Deron for Jameer, Hedo & QRich works money wise

Deron for Arenas Swap (have a feeling this won't be popular lol)

I don't see a DWill trade on the horizon, and I doubt the Pistons have much outside of Monroe to offer anyway, but as a Detroit Fan, I'd offer Prince('s expiring), Stuckey, and our unprotected 2011 first for him.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Word on the street is that Orlando will have trouble keeping Dwight. I think a Millsap/Hayward deal would work.

From the Bucks what would you think about Brandon Jennings, Larry Sanders and our unprotected 1st + filler for Williams?

Jennings can still be anything and definitely has all star potential. Sanders is athletic as hell and has a very high ceiling. Already a very good shotblocker and can shoot the mid range J. Our pick is top 10 at the moment and could be even better with the way we're going and we are another Bogut injury away from Jon Brockman being our starting Center...

Jennings / Watson
Miles / Bell
Kirilenko / Hayward
Millsap / Sanders
Jefferson / Okur

Thoughts?

Make a trade with the Golden State Warriors.

Stephen Curry, Ekpe Udoh, and future 1st round draft picks.

You guys get to rebuild with a good young point guard who has great potential and is still on his rookie contract. The Warriors also have a lot of expiring contracts available to trade. Louis Amundson and Vladimir Radmanvic are expirings, but they're both useful on the court. Vladimir has been shooting over 40% on three pointers this season after starting off 2-20 on three's (which means he's hot as hell right now). Louis Amundson is a good energy guy off the bench who can grab boards and hustle. Charlie Bell is another expiring that the Warriors have, so if you need a temporary backup point guard he could do alright.

Let me know if you're interested.

Here's my number if you decide you want to make a deal.

It's sad that I still recognize Mike Jones' number.

Huuuge Curry fan. Shoots, can distribute, knows how to score. Does he play D?? Honestly if D-will demanded a trade, I think that would be the best one

Trading Deron Williams would be a ridiculous move, wait until the whole story comes out, and well, there is a chance it will never come out. With that being said, lets assume, worst case scenario that the GM had a choice between keeping a relatively young, stud NBA point guard, and a 70 year coach? I know Sloan is a legend, but emotions shouldn't play a role in this call, and it's a simple one...

There's no waiting fo any story. KOC knows 100% of the story, he just won't go public with it. Deron won't be traded now or next year. There will not be a situation where the team will choose crap over nothing at all. They will choose nothing over crap.

Both of these picks went to Minnesota.

T'Wolves receive the Grizzlies' 2011 first-round pick, via the Jazz (Ronnie Brewer trade) (top 14 protected in 2011, top 12 protected in 2012, top 10 protected in 2013, top 9 protected in 2014 and 2015, if pick is not conveyed to the T'Wolves by 2015, the T'Wolves will instead receive cash considerations from the Grizzlies) (Al Jefferson trade 07-13-10)

T'Wolves receive the Jazz's 2011 first-round pick (top 16 protected in 2011, top 14 protected in 2012, top 16 protected in 2013, in 2014 the T'Wolves have the option to swap with the Jazz, top 9 protected, if the pick is not conveyed to the T'Wolves by 2013 and also does not swap 2014 first-round picks with the Jazz, then the T'Wolves will instead receive the Jazz?s own 2014 second-round pick) (Al Jefferson trade 07-13-2010)
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.
