I've watched too much of the Jeffersons in my day to be able to take him seriously.

Once again, the point isn't about keeping 2 of 3 or 3 of 3 or whatever, it's about having a team when the smoke clears. I'm not willing to do a 5 for Melo deal. I would be willing to do a deal where more players are involved if the Knicks get players back that can play and can help the Knicks win quickly.

Stephen A just admitted Melo has a butt as big as J-lo.

I loved it. EVERY fan agrees...the fans have a RIGHT to be impatient. THIRTY-EIGHT **** YEARS. You go out and GET Melo. Give up any 2/3 of Chandler/Fields/Gallo plus Curry's expiring, and even Felton for Melo and Billups.

I also loved that Stephen A was not afraid to question Donnie waiting TOO long...

Everyone keeps saying the same thing..."trade everyone for melo." So no one cares about possibly getting more in return incase we "gut" the roster?

I don't think they should "gut" the team, but if Chandler is the centerpiece, we aren't getting Melo.

It's a negotiation, you gotta give to get.

I do finds it ironic very few fans who called in said they wouldn't sell the farm.

If Melo said he wouldn't sign an extension except from the Knicks and that isn't fine-able, **** he can say trade me to NY.

Just tell the ownership that, and not make it a public thing.

I have a strong feeling Melo actually already did tell them only NYK but neither DEN brass or he will confirm that conversation right now.

It's not the NFL or MLB, you get two superstars and then add warm bodies...that's a second round team already. You add Melo, the chances of getting Chris Paul went up by 70%....suddenly people will sign for less to fill out the roster instead of raping the Knicks for every thing (see Jerome James)

It's going to be tough to get Chris Paul if we trade for Melo considering Amare and Melo will take up like 66% of the cap.

I'd say it's impossible when you take into account the cap holds.

Yea, talking in private to Denver's front office would've been the better route to take. Unfortunately, the leak took place and that has made this scenario crazy.

Stephen A. couldn't have returned to NY radio at a better time.

That's why it's better to acquire your max player in the season.

Cap holds won't matter because you can go over the cap to sign them.

I thought Melo doesn't want to come to NY anymore and Denver definitely will keep him?
