One game after putting up 22 points in the first half in a win at the Lakers, Demarcus Cousins has done even better in half one against New Orleans.

19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists for the rookie in the first half. :o
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

DC and JW are trending exactly opposite of each other. JW started off like a roman candle and now is looking like a less-explosive version of Mike Conley. DC started off like Jahidi and now is looking like early 2000's Shaq. DC + Irving looks so much more promising than JW + undersized PF's like Derrick Williams or Jared Sullinger...ugh, the suffering continues!

Sadly true. Thankfully, it's also true that Wall has been injured for most of the season. His numbers still stand up to historically great PGs, and this despite the fact that he's playing on one knee - Wall's career trajectory is currently somewhere between "all star" and "1st ballot hall of fame".

Um, assuming that his knee doesn't explode because no one in the Wiz' organization has the foresight to sit rest the kid.

Wall is averaging what...16 and 9? As a 20 year old rookie? Injured? Can't imagine what he's like healthy and with an improved jumpshot.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

It puts it all in perspective when you think about his age. Wall is twenty years old. 2 years removed from High School. He played 1 year of college. Take any other PG out of college let alone high school and you will not see close to that production. And he isn`t even healthy.

The guy will be one of the very best players in the NBA very soon. I mean, I think Blake Griffin is great. But people need to remember, he played 2 years of college, had 1 year of being in an NBA environment, and worked out with NBA trainers daily. Also, he plays PF, which is not the weakest position in the NBA but certainly not the strongest. Whereas PG is clearly the toughest position to play and learn, on top of the fact that the NBA is going through a golden era of PG`s.

Once again, it is quite scary to think what the guy will be like even next year.

Sixers just kept scoring at the basket with Horford out. Collins coaching well got a 117-84 win in ATL.

Undefeated Pacers new coach has Hibbert fired up. Hansbrough and George are getting bog minutes. Pacers lead the Heat in Miami 97-90.

What a shame that the Pacers could not steal the win with that 5-second violation called at the end. Pacer fans must be excited by the turnaround though.

Amazing, Philly knocks-off the Spurs in a low-scoring game. Philly goes from being one of the worst teams in the NBA to being a scrappy playoff team maximizing their roster. Full-credit has to go to coach Collins since EFJ had the same team.

Yeah, Collin's has made an impact.

Philly's 3-point field goal defense by year:

2009 - 16th
2010 - 30th
2011 - 5th

The defense has also gone from 23rd to 12th in one year with Dalembert turning into Hawes as the main personnel move.

That's rather decisive in the his'uns and your'uns department.

Cleveland just went into overtime against the Clippers. Cleveland was up 4 with 1:48 to go but let the lead slip away. Let's hope they pull out a victory so they won't be so motivated against us Sunday.

I was actually hoping that they'd loose so it would be a battle of epic streaks. While it would make the game more difficult, it would up the stakes and we find thrills where we can.

Agree, this would be the best outcome, the Cavs win tonight ands we win in Cleveland on Sunday, both teams break their streaks.

Don't you guys think that Cleveland winning puts all that much more pressure on the Wizards? Now they will be expected to Win where as before it could be written off as the Cavs fighting hard to end their streak.

Awful win by Cleveland. I was genuinely looking forward to the pathetic game on Sunday.

Even more impressively tonight they held the Spurs to 71 points and won. Doug Collins ... Too bad he coached the old, no good, MJ Wizards 10 years ago and not this young Wizards squad.

HAHA, good point. I don't know if our players will actually care - they probably just want to win, period - but it could factor in to the media angle... which could in turn add actual pressure.
