Did you guys know this about Bynum (from draft day 2005)

Kupchak, Buss, and Lester stole Andrew Bynum, plain and simple.

Video from the Draft, with "Jay Bilas' Top 20" on the bottom. Bilas had Bynum at the 11th best player when it was the Lakers' turn.

They obviously knew that had Bynum went to college, he would've been a top 3 draft pick, at least. They schooled everybody-- kept it hush hush with Bynum and promising they would take him at #10.

He, in turn, obliged, cancelling workouts, hoping to slip to 10. I'm sure he would've preferred to play in LA than Toronto, or even Portland.

The Lakers then used their reported interest in Gerald Green as a smokescreen, hoping he would get chosen before their pick, and making it more likely Bynum would fall to them.

He did. And he dunked on Shaq as a rookie.

Well he has 2 rings and played some good defense in his career. Hurt or not. He does help the Lakers.
