This just straight up bums me out. :(

It happening in the middle of the season is just really odd. It shouldn't come to that for a guy who has been with one team as long as he has.

I wish him a happy retirement. He was such an awesome coach.

I don't know about that - he's basically been a dick his entire career. I guess you can argue it's more or less worked for him, but there's a long list of players who hated him.

I suppose but still, we'll never know what's happened behind the scenes and I'm sure all the fallouts weren't all on Sloan as I can imagine that a bunch of rich kids are pretty tough to handle. I'd say 'hate' is a pretty strong word to use, dislike maybe.

yeah sloan was aparently one of the toughest, hardest working s.o.b's in the league when he played with the bulls and he demanded nothing less of his players and loved guys cut in his mold. i always respected the hell out of him because he always got the most out of his players and didn't take **** from anyone. he's a lot like pop in a way. have a good retirement good sir, you shall be missed.
