My only reason for accepting this deal is if there is a behind the scenes conformation that a healthy Chris Paul is definitely coming here. And if that is the case I expect to see Melo's contract to be a little less like Lebron and company's...

Sounds like he's getting his Lebron James on.

How much is he getting paid a year? And he gets to hit Lala whenever he feels his erection coming on. I would love to take a walk around the block in his shoes.

I think he probably thought he needed it, which i understand.. With not knowing whats going to happen with his life & with there being alot at steak and its all being played out in public.. this whole thing is a mess.. theres alot going on & his sister, who he was close to, passed away.. She had kids & im sure he worries about them too.. Ive herd from many people that fasting clears your mind and helps you feel better as a whole both physically & mentally.. So i dont think its done much to change his mind but i think it maybe made him calmer or more certain.. but i cant see it making him sway.. if thats what you're asking

Anthony on Saturday shrugged off comments he made to reporters last Wednesday after a shootaround at Golden State that he would "take a real hard look'' at signing the extension with the Nuggets if he's still with them past the trade deadline.

"That's just part of keeping my options open,'' Anthony said. "That's the same thing I've been saying since the beginning of the year. It just so happens that I said I would keep this option open as well. Nothing has changed.''

I feel that Felton is a 2 yr rental. Chauncey would be a 2 year rental as well. Chauncey is a better shooter, and has more a more heady game to him than Felton. Ray ray seems to make boneheaded plays out there sometimes.

I also feel that for D'Antoni's system, a cerebral pg that can shoot is better than a scoring minded pg. That's why unathletic players like Nash and even Duhon can put up decent #'s with this system. You HAVE to be able to hit a jumper consistantly though. Nash can hit at 50%, that's why the roller is open. Once Duhon and Ray's jumpers stopped falling, opposing teams started daring them to shoot and crowded the paint to stop the roll pass...the result is what you have been seeing the last 2 weeks.

My point was a small percentage of people have the mental strength/will power to "fast". Melo as Kobe mention last night is a "badboy". When you put that mental strength in context of him being a ball player, he's one of a kind.

Actually even when Ray's shot was falling the pick and roll still wasn't very effective. I don't even think it's guys packing the paint that's the problem. Raymond Felton truly does not know how to run the pick and roll which for an NBA point guard is appalling. Tonight, watch him try and run pick and rolls and I can almost guarantee you'll see him go too fast, give up early and go the wrong way at least once each. He has no feel for the play whatsoever.

lol i see.. yea i noticed that.. i remember when he announced on twitter that he was starting it.. He def gets a lot of respect in my book for how hes handled all of this.. It shows he has what it takes to play here by far.. i question the mental toughness or testicular fortitude (lol as farrakhan would say) of our young boys.. thats why i havent gotten into the debate of who should go and who should stay. Because you can have all the talent in the world, but if you're mentally weak, it doesnt make a difference.. especially in NY

It will never happen and it doesn't need too. The ship has sailed, Melo will be a Knick before the deadline. Unless, Minny jumps off the ship with the engine...

With Minny saying they wont trade Brewer, does this affect anything ?

As long as Minny is wiling to take on Eddy's contract, Brewer and the sucky pick are irrelevant. We only need them for their cap room.

Kahn admitted:

On the same day Carmelo Anthony said he'd consider signing a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets if they don't trade him, Timberwolves basketball boss David Kahn called his team's reported part in a three-way deal with Denver and New York involving Anthony "overstated."

Translated, that means an ESPN report last weekend that the Wolves would send a first-round pick and Corey Brewer to Denver to receive Knicks little-used forward Anthony Randolph and accept Eddy Curry's huge, expiring contract is too much to give.

"We were asked if there would be a way to participate in the event the other two teams could reach a deal and there likely could be," he said.

So to answer your question Vallen. No.
