We should leave our picks out of any trades at this point. We are not going to the playoffs, what is the point in trading draft picks? We need to wait until the offseason to make deals.

When I saw the Yahoo story about the Cavs finally getting a win, I actually wasn't that surprised. Desensitized to disappointment in a way. It looks like we played a pretty decent game, but it looks like the Cavs were just the better team tonight. Looks like the game of Russian Roulette just ended, with us being the unfortunate losers. :nonono:

I'm now 0-5 in game threads this season. :nonono:

IMO, we're really missing EJ, because he's our main scorer and takes so much pressure off of Griffin.
We also seem to not play any defense anymore(I'm especially dissapointed in DJ, who's not playing that well anymore) and that's where, to me, EJ's missed even more then on offense.

We had a pretty decent perimeter defensive duo in EJ and Gomes, who got nice protection by DJ(and even some by Blake) down low and made Baron look solid on D as well.

Right now Griffin's only jogging back on defense, DJ's not really protecting our basket anymore and Foye's nowhere near the defender EJ is.

And if you don't play defense, you need to be able to score at will and have several guys stepping it up, which isn't going to happen on a nighly basis(it's more like one out of five games were that happens for us) with the current lineup we're able to send out there.

It just had to be the Clippers, helping the Cavaliers finally get a win.
How fitting with the franchise reputation.

Really frustrating.

I wanted to watch the 2nd half of this game last night, but for the first time this season I couldn't actually find a stream that showed the Clippers game (bad sign?). So I watched the Lakers-Knicks game instead and kept my eye on the Clipps-Cavs boxscore. ESPN switched to Clippers game to show the closing moments of the 4th quarter as well as overtime, so I saw what happened.

I kinda knew that we might very well lose this game, but I still can't believe we did.

Embarrassing. VDN can't coach in the NBA. Clipps have too much talent for this crap.

Although I can't stand that we lost, the Cavs just had everything clicking and played better. We didn't execute, especially near the end of regulation when we couldn't run a play and Baron chucked up a really bad 3. That, plus the toll of the road trip, plus a couple bad calls led to the loss. I'm not that worried about the team, we still don't have a healthy roster, and it's not like we're realistically making the playoffs this season. This was a demoralizing loss and set us back with all the progress the team has made this season in changing the Clippers' image, but I think it's a good learning experience for the players.
