If Knicks dont get Melo, Im sure Donnie has backup plans already set. Eddy Curry is Deff a goner because of that Attractive contract. Just dont know for who though.

I think if fields or gallo isnt offered in the deal as is right now then donnie will wait till the last minute to throw one in, to make denver feel like he caved.. if he throws one in now then they might try to ask for another one closer to the deadline.. i think it will happen.. i just dot know how or when.. i think donnie would push to do it before the deadline being that he most likely has other trades he'd like to complete.. & i dont think there is a "if knicks dont get melo" situation, only because donnies plan was always 2 superstars.. and when we struck out on lebron he said we'd go after melo in 2011.. thats always been the plan

and the contract is only attractive for somebody wanting to dump salary. we cant afford to mess up our 2012 plans....

I just don't see Felton getting traded. Thought Donnie said something about ray not being on the table.

Give up Fields Felton and Chandler for Melo and Billups - sure why not.

What would be the starting lineup though? Billups ___ Melo Amare Moz .. not sure Gallo can play two..

what the fiery hell are you TALKING ABOUT?

Lebron does EVERYTHING. Play D, rebound, pass like a mini-Magic Johnson, and can score at will. Melo does ONE thing great, and he rebounds decently as well. Lebron can put up a triple double on any given night, can Melo?

it really isn't difficult to put up a triple-double if you really think about it. some players know they can get 10+ points with ease, so they get the 10+ assist first then try to get 10+ rebounds, and leave the points for last.

i remember clyde's comment during amar'e's streak of 30+ points that i never thought about. he said some players think it's difficult to get 30+ points, but all it takes is 8 points each quarter.

i'm sure if a player decided he wanted to get a triple-double he could. it reason it doesn't happen often is mainly due to them wanting to play 1 against 5.

@vallen

how do you think rondo gets so many assist? the reason is because he doesn't have a choice due to his horrible shooting.

you're telling me if a player wanted a triple-double they couldn't do it? the reason it doesn't happen every game is because of them being selfish.

when did 10 rebounds, 10 assist, and 10 points become the most difficult obstacle known to man?

landry can get a triple-double if he wanted, since he gets rebounds with ease. getting the points and assist would be a walk in the park for him.

theres a difference between somebody forcing himself a trip dub, and somebody who just gets them because of god given talent.

and im pretty sure hes not counting out the stats in his head, and Im really sure hes doesnt have a game plan to get assists firsts, rebounds second, and blablabla............

guess andray blatche was trying to get 1 more rebound for the fun of it.

the next time u watch the celtics play, pay attention to what rondo does. a triple-double doesn't have to consist of 20+ in the 3 categories.

Den is losing out if they decide to keep him though. I think they'll eventually cave in if there isn't a better offer on the table. They really have no reason to keep him unless they actually think Melo is going to sign an extension with them.

Carmelo Anthony needs to come out and say publicly, That he wants to be traded to us, AND that he will not sign the Extension with Denver. If he REALLY wanted to be in NY then he will do this, Then Denver will have no choice but to trade him. Who cares if he gets fined, He's going to be making 65 + Million over the next 4 Years. He can afford it.

Because all of this talk about Carmelo is getting impatient with us is Stupid. Listen if you really want to be a Knick. and You know that the possibility of Denver holding onto you is still lingering. Then by all means you Come out publicly.

PR nightmare for Melo. I think all is already done. No way Denver waits to the last minute. Melo is not the only decision they need to male this year. I think they are going to announce the trade all-star weekend to allow Melo to play for the west.

Return to New York Knicks
