I honestly can't see Donte swinging on Cousins for no good reason.

I'm guessing the 'ol macho meter went up, Donte probably pulled out the "rookie" stuff, Cousins said "rookie or not you're going to respect me", that was followed by an "oh yeah", which was proceeded by another "oh yeah" then both slapped at eachother like most gangly ass 7 foot tall basketball players do when they fight, one landed a lucky shot, the other fell to the floor with tears in their eyes, at which time Pooh Jeter popped into frame and said mockingly, "you got knocked the F*CK OUT!!".

Why didn't GP keep this quiet. He shouldn't get suspended, I'm glad Garcia stuck up for this kid.

I'm glad Cousins is talking about the big elephant in the room, and finally bringing the Tyreke decision making thing to everyones attention.

He couldve picked his spots and maybe not do it in this game, and he no doubt shouldn't have fought Donte, but he is absolutly 100% right.

Us fans got your back boogie, this can't continue any longer.... if we had a vetren presence or a coach who has a pair - i'm sure Demarcus would keep his mouth shut, but sadly we don't have niether and this amazing 20 year old is taking it on himself, rookie or not - I take ALOT of positive things out of this normally negetive incident... mad respect for Cousins.

I hate the fact that our organization is put on exhibit for the world to see whenever a bad thing, big or small, happens.

These type of stuff happens in every team but most of them are smart to keep it quiet in thier organization... all of this couldve and shouldve been kept indoors.

Cousins is arguing with the wrong person about not confronting Evans about his late game decisions. He needed to confront Evans directly and not Greene about confronting Evans.

It makes no sense to confront a teammate for not confronting another player, that he won't confront himself.

Did it go something like this?

Cousins: I got a problem with Tyreke's last minute 3pter.

Greene: Take it up to him.

Cousins: You take it up to him

Greene: It's your problem.

Cousins: I'll fight you, if you don't do it. I ain't about to get no fight with Tyreke.

Cousins throws a right hook at Greene. :lol:

i like cousins. players dont care enough anymore. glad he was emotional about it. although his percentages are not as good and werent that game. im secretely hoping sac pisses him off so much he wants to leave. to me hes easily going to be a top 5 c. give him to the wiz, wall, nick young, cousins and kanter with calipari would be awesome

You can secretly hope and wish all you want but Cousins isn't going anywhere. Anyway, I'm Glad Garcia 'Vehemently' protested the fact that Cousins was being taken away from the team plane. We all know that this is BS, and I'm glad Garcia had his back.

I like how punching your teammates can somehow become a good thing. Next time the coaches screw up Cousins should punch them too. Hell, I should knock my coworkers out whenever they're not doing what I want them to do.

Well as typical of Cousins, the INTENTION was good. In fact, this is the reason why I said I don't think he'll be a bust despite the issues he supposedly has. The guy cares about winning and losing. And when you care that much, you're not going to sit idly by and let your talent go to waste.

But again, right intention...wrong application. A simple rational sit-down or something instead of a shouting/shoving/punching match would have been a much better (and from what everyone's saying about the Kings...much needed) way of dealing with the issues going on with that team.

The problem is, one, he always seems too negative, two, he hasn't build credibility in that locker room, and three, he hasn't made himself a good target for Kings leader with his emotions and whining.

He can be a good player, no doubt. He could be a top 3 center, probably top 2, but he just complains too much, and doesn't play the game enough.

What he said about Evans is true and I've always felt that way about Evans. He's a good scorer for himself, but he's really not a team player. For him to be effective, he needs to have the rock 100% of the time. That was his problem dating back to high school and Memphis. That locker room drastically needs a Charles Oakley.

You should be happy they are fighting about winning and not about money owed. Although, it did turn to respect. DeMarcus has a lot of heart and he wants to win. Wish you could say this about every player.

Great points about Cousins, no Rookie should be making a huff and a puff in the locker room and blaming guys who have been there longer.

Also, has anyone remembered a season in which Charles Oakley was brought up so many times?

I agree with Cousins, don't agree with the fighting though. I mean the score was 97-99. All they needed was a two pointer to go to overtime. Cousins was right under the baske, But instead Evans going to shot up a 3 knowing he isn't that great of a 3 point shooter. So if I'm Cousins I'll be mad too.

Get some grizzled veterans on that team, draft another stud, and remove their horrible coach and you have what looks like a playoff team, and a stable one at that.

jk, they've got a lot do to become a playoff team, but getting rid of westphal and tyreke would be steps in the right direction.

Let's all glorify a thug. But it's ok because he:
1..Wants to win so badly
2..Has a big heart
3..Wants to be the leader
4..The coach can't coach
5..He was the hot shooter for the game

I go with #6.
It's a team sport that takes chemistry, coaching, and players that have to sacrifice their game
sometimes to achieve their goal of winning a championship.
Show me where this melee has done anything but alienate Cousins from his teammates and coaches.

i doubt this incident will alienate cousins from the teammates who've previously complained about the selfishness on the team, aka tyreke. that would mean that more than half the team's got DMC's back, including the team leader in f.garcia.
