Unfortunately, this is an issue.

Clearly you don't watch much Wizards basketball because that happens pretty much every single game, usually multiple times per contest.

Well, we'd really have had to question his judgment if he'd started off with "I watch a lot of Wizards games and....."

This was the biggest piece of crap game I've ever attended. I lost interest somewhere in the first quarter and spent rest of the time talking about personal matters with my buddy.

epic beatdown - competitive for maybe 4 minutes

the kind of game that could prompt an owner to
do something drastic.

if I was anyone anywhere associated with the basketball
side of the mgmt of this team, I would be worried right now.

Ted wasn't seen after halftime that I recall. He can't
be a happy camper right now.

about the only good thing that could be said is that
with the missing players and the completely non-competitive
nature of the game, Seraphin got more minutes than he's
usually been getting. BFD.

The contrast between the 2 teams was quite stark.
No way to sugar coat this.

If I was EG or Flip, I'd be worried about my job.
If they lose to CLE tomorrow, I'd REALLY be worried about
my job.

no need to say much beyond that

think Larry Brown would come in for a mop up job
for the rest of the season? Nah, I don't either.

It really really sucks when all the Spurs fan talk trash
all game and there's nothing you can say that doesn't
make you sound like a total idiot. Spurs fans? I think
half the season ticket holders must of sold their tickets
without checking the character of who they were selling
them to. Oh well. Guess I can't blame them too much.

Re -the Spurs, I just hope they do all right thinking Americans
a favor and knock off the Lakers and MIA/BOS. If OKC won it all,
I could live with that too.

There were a lot of Spurs fans and a LOT of casual non Wizards/NBA fans. If I'm an owner and I want people to come attend my teams games and people get to watch that kind of a steaming pile of dung performance, I'm extremely infuriated.

This was one of the largest crowds the Wizards have had all year and they got to witness a beat down of the ages. Even "Spurs" fans around me were bored.

^ exactly

not the kind of performance you want when you've got an
opportunity to build fan base and you play exactly in the
manner you described.

but I don't think starting Martin or Kip is worth focusing on.

the Spurs have players that know how to play. We don't.

Flip could have started Martin and we would have gotten our butts kicked.

We would have lost to San Antonio's second unit tonight. From five minutes and onwards, every player on our team quit.

Hi guys!

during a beak in the second half, they announced that someone named Rosa Blowe had won a contest.

That was the highlight of the evening.

i really don't like hinrich getting alot of minutes. he is a very mechanical and predictable. he seems to make alot of his passes don't give players an offensive advantage. He looks for his shot first and throws a pass to bail himself out when he get locked down trying to play shooting guard. He also is not a good shooting guard except he can usually knock down the open shot during non clutch moments of the game. He is is also not a strong guard that can fight through picks which is a poor example for wall.

I honestly like mustafa much much better than hinrich. he is more athletic, seems plays and offensive angles for his team mates way sooner than hinrich. He isn't as good a three point shooter but that's it.
HInrich is a below average shooting guard---basically shorter version of richard hamilton. I want mustafa style to rub off on wall.

We are much better defensively with booker as a small forward. I love seeing him posted up and abusing small forwards in the post. I love how he over powers moving screen and seems to predict how a play is designed and is already closing the gap before any of his team mates seem to know what's going on. Booker is how future at small forward, we have to force him to develop more small forward skills but he is worth the growing pains. His rating for defense at the small forward spot should be 99. the best defensive small forward in the league by far.
McGee is starting to look alot better around the hoop, have the wizards got a new post elite footwork coach yet.

Saunder is doing a poor job of teaching his players how to mask what play they are executing. the defensive can easily read where the break down is in our defense and the only person on our team that is even aware is Booker.
Booker needs to be the captain of the defense in the film room.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

Slept through the second half, but I've been liking Cartier's energy and shooting of late. Booker was also solid playing the role of a bruising 3, sort of like a Corliss Williamson type who scores less but plays better defense.

Wizards lost because we suck and b/c they are the best team in the league, not because of a 3 guard line-up, or coaching, or Martin not playing... Even Wall said they played like they didn't care...

People here consistently overrate our so-called talent, and then blame it all on the coach instead of those *actually* responsible; Our overrated, lazy, no bball IQ-having players...

We would have lost even if they came in playing five games straight.

I don't see any rotation that Flip could have done in the Spurs game that would have won the game or even prevented a blow out especially with Lewis and Thornton out. BTW, I did think McGee and Seraphin did a good job scoring down on the post.

The Spurs are simply light years ahead of the Wizards in terms of roster make-up- yes the Wizards may have some athletic talent- but the Spurs mental IQ is that of a PHD, the Wizards are stuck in the 1st grade. Today is the game that the Wizards need to win. I wonder if the Wizards mailed it in and conserved their energy for this game.
