After that game, Manuel Neuer has to considered best goalie of the world... yeah, I went there.
His performance was phenomenal. Even with a really, really good goalie, Schalke would have lost that one by 3-4 goals. That match was just 11 (very good) Dortmunder vs. Manuel Neuer.

Van Gaal is just hilarious. I can hardly remember a coach abusing his players like this... it's just crazy. The Bayern squad isn't good enough to dominate the league, but still, they should do better than this.
Schweinsteiger is the best example. He's soo good as a playmaking DM, orchestrating the game from the back, reading the opponent, directing passes and filling holes. But for some unexplainable reason, van Gaal plays him way up front, where he totally disappears. Instead, Ottl and Pranjic man the 6, which means the Bayern can barely pass the ball out of their defense without loosing it.
It's just weired. If you wanted to sabotage their game as badly as possible, you'd take the ball away from Schweinsteiger and give it to Ottl or Badstuber or Pranjic... and van Gaal does exactly this, just for the hell of it...

If Mario Gomez wouldn't score like that, they would be in real trouble.

Neuer is the best keeper we have had since Kahn. He's already better than Lehmann was IMO.

Van Gaal is just terrible right now. He's forcing the players to fit into his system instead of adjusting his system to maximize strengths of his players.

Here is how they should've played today:

----------------Kraft-------------------
Lahm-Breno-Badstuber-Gustavo
------Tymo-Schweinsteiger-------
Altintop-----Müller-----------Pranjic(Ribery after half)
---------------Gomez-----------------

Instead they continue to play freakin Andy Ottl. He's just bad. Pranjic is not suited for the central midfield and Müller is more dangerous in the middle than on the wings.
Anyway, I give van Gaal a month and he's gone if they don't turn it around by then.

Just a season ago they called him the next England manager (again) for doing well at FC Twente.

McClaren failed awkwardly. It's kinda surprising that they fire him that soon after getting new players for him though. :dontknow:

I'm surprised he wasn't fired months ago.

I think neither. Schaaf is actually the one who has the least blame (Wiese, Frings, Mertesacker etc. play like utter turd), and van Gaal is not THAT responsible that Munich always sleepwalks between the 45th and 60th minute.

On a different note, I am pumped up for the German-Italy friendly. Look at the number of young fresh stallions in our projected starting lineup:

Neuer - Lahm, Hummels, Mertesacker, Schmelzer - Müller (Götze), Khedira, Schweinsteiger, Özil - Klose, Podolski

And that is still w/o guys like the Bender twins, Reus, Holtby, Großkreutz, Diekmeier or Schürrle - and "older" talents like Aogo, Badstuber, J. Boateng, Marin, Schwaab, Hunt, Höwedes or Riether. The future looks bright :D

I can't wait for the day we send Klose in pension. He has done a great job for us in the past but I think there are better options than Klose right now as strikers.

I want him to beat the alltime scoring record first, though. That would be sweet.

Is Badstuber slow or what? dude just can't keep up with anyone. Their ruining So many great players primes, with trash goalkeeping and defenders. Bayern has no chance of beating Inter with the current set of CB's. I was hoping they would get an upgrade in the transfer window, but nothing went down. They can get by with their offense in the Bundesliga for now, but they'll get killed in the CL.

Well if they fail against Inter in the CL they'll surely buy a new CD because next years CL final is in Munich.

Munich and Leverkusen both with easy wins and Dortmund seems to struggle. Score still tied in Kaiserslautern with 10 minutes left.

Just as I write this they score the 1-0

Podolski goal in 3rd minute is just ridic.

I feel bad for the keeper. Of course, he should have stopped it.

Oh well, I think we'll take whatever we can get.
