[If i do remember correctly, Barnes was a conseus #1 people were comparing him to elite NBA players. So many big programs were after him because of the hype.

Also, i dont think you understood what i ment, which was my fault i said high school when i ment to say prep schhol sorry about that. Kanter played at Stone Ridge Prep and this was after he played over seas.
as I said earlier, highschool rankings mean absolutely nothing. You can go check rivals rankings thought which are generally the most trusted anyways and see that Selby is number 1 over Barnes. Big programs go after a ton of players.

If Kanter were accepted to a program like findley, then people would put more stock into it. I think if he goes top 5, it will only because he has an insanely good workout or something like that.

just my opinion
I agree if Kanter played at Findlay he would of got more recognition, but he did get accepted to findlay... he was set to play their before he changed his mind and decided to switch to another school before he played 1 game.

Arizona is my favourite team
I am calling for a 15+ victory.

I'm not sure if D Will's hand is gonna be taped up today.
ASU plays the slowest paced game ever and they are going to play the zone (arizona doesn't have a real pg) and try and make it impossible for d will to touch the ball.

they won by 15
d wills hand was taped up
asu played the most boring game ever
all they cared about was triple teaming D will and let every other player remain wide open.

Williams said after the game he banged his hand on the rim in the first half and played through the pain.

As for Derrick Williams....yeah he's dominating and has a great first step (with a seemingly innate ability to draw a foul), but how much is that going to translate to the NBA when he'll actually be facing up against incredibly mobile guys with size? Williams' defense is also nonexistent.

your obviously a blinded ucla homer, but need I bring up the last time UCLA played U of A?

Just wait till D will steps into Pauley and dominates.

Uh no, I'm not. Pac 10 basketball is inferior to most of the other leagues out there right now (BE, B10, and B12 in particular).

And this has nothing to do with teams, though I will say that Arizona is probably better than UCLA.

Ryan Hollins kind of sucks, but he was a project big anyway and is still kicking around the league as a late 2nd rounder. Plus, some of the best defensive players at their position in the league are UCLA grads (Mbah Moute, Afflalo, Westbrook).

honeycutt is a howland player through and through as of now. Cannot produce his own offense but is a very good defender.

Honeycutt is capable of getting to the line and has significant range on his jump shot. He's just very lazy at times on the offensive end and is willing to take jumpers repeatedly. It's really his impressive defense that makes him worth drafting as a late 1st rounder, though.

The more I watch Barnes the more I feel like he's going to be one of the best players out of this class. I'd have no problems taking him if we miss out on Irving.

I haven't been following much draft stuff this past few weeks. Just wondering how peoples "draft boards" are looking like? Lately my board has been all over the place. I still have Kyrie at 1. But after that its a gamble.

I have Irving at 1 and then it's Barnes/Jones X 2. I'm going to leave it up to the scouts to determine who is the best out of Barnes, Perry and Terrence. Personally, at this point I like Barnes the most of the 3 because there's nothing tweener-ish about him. He's a SF though and through.

I also like the fact that many of his skills will fit seamlessly on this team. His ability to hit with range, his rebounding and his defense would all add to this team.

Reignman, I feel the same about Barnes. But I'm just not sure he's going to declare. So i'm not holding him too high until I find out. I have Tjones a little higher that PJ. Just because I've seen more Kentucky games to base my opinion. But Tjones nor PJ poses the skill set that Barnes has.

I agree with your sentiments on Barnes, but I have seen very little superstar potential in his play this year.

yeah, I don't see "superstar" in him yet but outside of Irving I don't really see any prospect as having superstar potential in this draft. Maybe Perry Jones from a physical standpoint but his game leaves a lot to be desired.

I think with Barnes what you get is a solid player at worst with a high ceiling. Who knows where he projects but i'd be perfectly fine drafting a guy that could have a Deng like impact fairly quickly in the league.

^ I think Perry Jones' perenniel all-star upside is undeniable. I don't know about top 5-10 player type superstar, but he has the talent to be on Bosh and Amare's level. Like Bosh, being a 6'11 guy with that first step could make him a nightmare to guard face-up. I'm not saying he'll get there, but talent wise, he can be a Bosh. He has identical freshman stats as Bosh, Aldridge, Blake Griffin during their freshman years btw. So I'm not overly worried by him not going Durant/Beasley on the college game
It's going to be a glorious day... I feel my luck could change
