I blame myself. I should have made time to make the gamethread.. :(

I didn't catch the game and I don't want to watch my recording, but how the hell can we lose to the 2nd worst team in the Western conference, on a back to back, without their 2nd best player?

Also, only 15 minutes for Vince? Again he's sucking it up, but how in the world did he lose this game for us?

Real disappointed with this lost. But if we can win the next two, we'll be in good position heading towards the all-star break.

I couldn't think of many options..I personally don't put it on Vince but I guess for the option I was thinking just in general him continually failing to provide us with a starting SG

I think Vince is a good pick. For a team like Phoenix that doesn't have the talent to play strong basketball for a full 48 minutes, Carter's 16 minutes of terrible play can absolutely hurt a team's chances of winning.

I find it comical that all Carter can talk about is "Beno's three" and "Landry's offensive rebounds"...I understand VC is a guy with tons of pride, but come on...He's completely unfocused and did contribute to the loss.

I found this interesting.......... we aren't the only ones that think he is not giving full effort....

Gentry said he needs to engage Carter & play him in 4Q. He said he told him they traded their top scorer for him & expect him to be it now.

I do blame Vince for part of this loss, he's averaged 20+ per game for his entire career and it's bet
It's funny too, just a few weeks ago, Gentry was telling Vince that he WANTED him to attempt 15-20 shots a game, and it's pretty sad because VC's getting benched and only playing less than 25 minutes because he's not attacking and it just looks like he's going through the motions.

@realsuns fan
I really hope this lights a fire in Vince's attitude. I hope that Gentry really did talk to Carter about this, and Vince is an emotional guy. The benchings are getting to him, and if this team wants to make it to the playoffs then Vince needs to act like he gives a sh**. We need to win these next two games to be at 28-26 by the all-star break, and then hopefully it'll give us momentum. I fully expect Carter to start bringing his A game, but if not then The Suns organization should just trade him before the trade deadline to get a serviceable SG.

It's pretty much exactly the same thing. Making it seem like something is there when it's not.

I guess I just like my boys to play a good, clean game. I hated when Raja flopped.

Frye is always a viable Leander candidate.

He always sucks when we lose. I'd liked having jrich as our barometer more. Frye is relied way too heavily upon right now.

That's exactly why I don't have faith in our coaching staff anymore - soft as Frye on his worst day - just try to make it work SOMEHOW...even if everyone sees that Carter is D-O-N-E.

Sorry but it's nothing personal - he just needs to go cause he's an even worse fit than Turk at PF was for us. It is just not working out so please let Dudley, Pietrus and Chilly play - cause they actually show effort every single game.

I hate this jerk laughing all game long with our opponents and having a great time while stinking it up game after game...

You know what will happen? He will have ONE (1) good game the next few days where he will score around 25pts or something and everybody will be good for a while - until he stinks it up 5 games in a row again - that is just not enough to be our starting SG!

I kinda like the idea of trading him for Rip and Maxiell - both would help us, really. Rip is a very good defender with a nice midrange game and Maxiell could get some minutes instead of Frye playing 38 minutes. He actually can bang with some bigger guys in the league.

Carter for Rip and Maxiell and we are talking...again we are running out of time and games to reach the playoffs - if we really want to play in the postseason we should try everything to make us better.
Prediction for this season: Spurs beat Heat 4:2 in the finals (the revenge of Pop)
I don't like it, but it is highly possible this season with IND and OKC struggling

Why \Troy Murphy though? Frye is a better pure shooter and Gortat is at least as good of a rebounder, and better at defense, so if we're giving up pieces I'd rather go for something we don't have.

Because Frye + Gortat + Lopez + Murphy would be...

...a real frontcourt!! Plus the fact that we're only good with Frye on the court right now. Frye 2.0 is a good idea.

But it definitely depends on which pieces we'd be giving up.

The Suns "problems" aren't related to defense, if we're assuming Phoenix can keep up their defensive production for the last 15-17 games. The Suns problem is they lack the talent to play well for a full 48 minutes---There is almost always going to be a let-down during games, which can lead to losses on those nights that the Suns don't recover.

Troy Murphy is a very nice rebounder. Defensive rebounding is a vital part of playing good defense. So while he may not individually be able to anchor a defense, he can contribute to a defense with his rebounding ability. And obviously he's a really productive assisted 3-point shooter and would be able to stretch the defense for Steve Nash and co.

I stand corrected.

It's kinda new to see the suns holding opponents(at least more than before) under 100.

Exactly--IMO the Suns are a good team, but lack enough talent to be consistent for 48 minutes night in and night out. Upgrading the talent level will help with that.

The struggle is getting the deal done. Murphy would constitute matching much of VCs salary, however the Nets would still need to include another player or players to make things work, or the Suns would need to find a 3rd team to make it happen....

That's the thing, Murphy IS something we don't have. He's a legitimate reason to stop playing Hakim Warrick :D
