Starks is definitely the better receiver, and I still see us passing between 55 and 60 percent of the time next year (56% passes this year). So I'd say Starks will be in on all obvious passing downs, Grant on obvious rushing downs, and a mix when we're throwing in play action. It'd be nice to keep both guys fresh.

I think I saw the stat that even this year we ran 42.8% of the time or something and the NFL average was 43.5% or so. So yeah I don't see why that would change one bit, I think the only reason we would end up running more would be if we had leads late in games(I'd love to be in that situation more :P, better for my heart/health).

Watch Greg Jennings in that video. You'll see just how terrible the blocking A.I. is in Madden (seriously, EA isn't even half as good now as NFL2k5 was seven years ago) but you'll then see him break a guy's legs.

+1

I haven't bought Madden in years but my nephew is selling his 360 and games so he just gave me his Madden 11,even though I didn't pay a penny for it somehow I still feel ripped off.

:D

The most recent Madden I have besides '11 is '09 and I will say '11 is improved quite a bit from '09.

But with that said NFL 2K5 still blows Madden 11 out of the water.

I'm looking for the column on ESPN right now to show this, but I feel like that linked article just... borrowed heavily from an ESPN article on Thompson. Will keep looking.

Nice extension for MM, seems reasonable for both sides.

Good for Mike. He's not only a good NFL head coach, he strikes me as a very genuine person who doesn't have an enormous ego looking for tons of credit. He also seems like he'd be fair to any player who acts in a team first fashion and he manages that tough line between being a players coach along with one who commands and gets respect.

For as important it is for a NFL coach to be good at the X's/O's of the game, it's just as important that they can garner the respect of the players in their locker room without being such an asss all the time that players eventually tune him out, especially in today's NFL where players make so much cash and a locker room has 53 different personalities and egos.

Another important thing IMO is that Ted and Mike seem to genuinely like/respect each other, work well together, and are on the same page about their vision for how to build the franchise and then to keep it successful. I don't get the sense that McCarthy really ever questions the decisions that Ted makes on personnel and Ted seems like he doesn't butt in on how McCarthy coaches. Not all coaches and their GM/front office have the kind of working and personal relationship that Mike and Ted look like they have.

He's proven to be a good coach. There are certainly things I wish he'd do different but that can be said about every coach/manager in every sport. The bottom line is success and championships.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

100% agree, he has also shown a willingness to adapt his style, some of the things he did this year were very out of character with what most of us would have expected culminating with him having the players fit for rings the night before the Super Bowl.
