Can I buy pg???

Post#1 » by joelafan » Mon Feb 14, 2011 6:21 pm

Seriously the guard play of fisher and brown and even blake at a point is ridiculously bad right now . We should move to get a decent guard! Hinrich, Brooks someone lol /rant over. But in all honest are pg has been our downfall this year and has sucked most of last year.

I wish I could find my post that stated this board will want him back by mid season. I still say Felton would have taken the mid level to play for us, but we reached out to Steve Blake the moment free agency began

blake isnt bad, his problem is playing time. i love fisher and what hes done, but he cant run the point in the nba anymore. either way, this offseason i expect a change at the pg.

I dont think felton would've taken MLE, he got offered that basically from Cha and said no, even if we had him, this offense would find a way for him to suck and Fish would still be starting

true but this is L.A not Cha. He would have taken that if Mitch came calling. But your right we probably would have found a way to screw that up too

I'm much less concerned about Fisher, he'll get it together, but Blake was a mistake. We should have went out and got Hinrich, perfect fit. Blake and we have him for what 3 more years, yikes?!

say what you want about farmar, but this guy has quickness. much quicker than blake. than of course fish and brown. thats what we need right now, quickness on the point. he made a terrible decision to leave. he would be the guy to take over the position right now based on his quickness. we have zero right now, and you can see opposing point guards licking their chops like kobe on wafer, when blake is guarding them. arenas was lookin like his old self on the guy. ive said this before, blake cannot PLAY D. period. and its lookin like we are gettin it without any quickness up top

Felton would of been nice. Yea i wish farmar would stayed. He could of Bren starting on a championship team vs back up on one the worst teams. All about the money for him . He got paid well. And I would love to get hinrich

I don't think Blake will be here for the duration of the contract, I expect him to be moved if and when we do make some trades. Fisher disgusts me seeing him attack the rim is just god awful. This team is stuck under so many bad contract **** ain't even funny.

he wouldn't have been starting even he stayed and that was one of reason he didn't stay, this offense doesn't fully utilize PG likes Farmar/Blake, thats why Fish is here so long he suppose to just spot up and shoot but he doesn't do that well either and forces the issue more so by trying to go to the basket which is just a FAIL waiting to happen.

The point is that no PG will ever fit in the triangle offense doesn't matter who it is.

with this in mind we need to sign a pg by completely ignoring their offense and just looking at their defensive capabilities. we don't run the triangle on defense

I have never been a fan of Blake but I do think he would play better if he was starting. I also think the second unit would play better with Fisher running it.

Blake's having the same problem Farmar did...lack of responsibility.

It's why GP was awful in 2004. These guys just aren't used to how limiting the triangle can be. I mean there's a reason Fisher can still start on a championship team.

Every team with a fast PG beats the Lakers.

i like your starting point but lets be honest Fish sucks starting or coming off the bench, if he can't hit wide open shots give to him by Kobe/Pau, he'll be even worse with the 2nd unit as no one on the 2nd unit creates for anybody, Odom while a good passer, once he gets into the lane doesn't look to pass either and he sucks at posting up to create spacing for shooters. Bynum should come of the bench but his sorry arse conditioning prevents this since he has to stay warmed up after initial warm ups so he has to start to keep his gimpy knees lose.
