You guys get to rebuild with a good young point guard who has great potential and is still on his rookie contract. The Warriors also have a lot of expiring contracts available to trade. Louis Amundson and Vladimir Radmanvic are expirings, but they're both useful on the court. Vladimir has been shooting over 40% on three pointers this season after starting off 2-20 on three's (which means he's hot as hell right now). Louis Amundson is a good energy guy off the bench who can grab boards and hustle. Charlie Bell is another expiring that the Warriors have, so if you need a temporary backup point guard he could do alright.
Let me know if you're interested.
Here's my number if you decide you want to make a deal.

This would be a great start if the Jazz actually did want to go to a run and gun system. Curry is a pure shooter and has decent PG skills. Unfortunately, you would get guys whining all the time about how he is really a SG playing the point. This would not be a trade to immediately turn down, depending on who else we could get out of GState, that is if we HAD to trade Deron.
Would Wright also be available in that deal? He would provide a wing that can drill the 3 consistently.

Word is, South Beach is ecstatic that they
won't be seeing Millsaps talents again this season...

I highly doubt Golden State trades Curry, Udoh, 1st rounders (plural!), and Wright. That's just not a good trade for them.

G-states new owners are willing to trade one of the two guards Ellis or Curry. So KOC make a deal if we have to!

No thanks on Udoh, unless we have to take him. I would send Fes to them and take Udoh in return, he can't be any worse. I don't know whey they wouldn't do this deal. Curry is unproven, has the potential to become a PG on the level of DWill, but still don't know if that will happen. Take a world class PG now with a year left on his contract to get some excitement brewing with their fans, and I think it may be a good deal for GS.
Not saying I want it to happen, but it's not a bad idea. If Curry becomes the star he has the potential to be, we would not be that much worse off than having Deron over him. He is really quick, and is only going to get quicker as he learns PG. The problem would be finding our leader. That would remain a mystery with this team.

Let's think this through. Curry is a 22 year-old borderline All Star with two years left on his rookie contract after this one. He's said how much he adores playing in Golden State. He expressed surprise and sadness when he heard the owner was willing to ship him out, and talked about even wanting to spend his whole career with the team.
Golden State's record is such that they're going to have a lottery pick for this coming draft at the very least.
Deron Williams is a 26 year-old point guard who is top three at his position. He can become a free agent at the end of next year. The reason he wouldn't sign with the Jazz is because he thinks they don't have the pieces to compete for a title right this second. This is highly unlikely to be any different in Golden State; he will leave as soon as he's able.
So, let's see here:
Golden State trades a great young point guard who loves the city and wants to spend the rest of his career there (already averaging 19 points, 6 assists, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals), a 17-point per game scoring wing entering his prime, and MULTIPLE [most likely] lottery picks... and in exchange they get a year and a half of one of the best point guards in the game.
They would be absolute imbeciles to do that deal.

Re: Deron Trades
That is absolutely wrong. Curry is a promising young player, but Deron is on a higher level. Curry has not shown the ability to lead a team like Deron. Paul, Rose, Rondo are all at that higher level. Curry is like Devon Harris of a few years ago, though he certainly has the ability to tip towards the better side than Harris did. The contractual situation is a non-issue for someone with more than a year left. If it's Deron for Curry with extraneous cap pieces it's the Jazz who decline.

Re: Deron Trades
No way the Jazz do it either. I don't think they even entertain the thought.
Who's saying Deron's not on a higher level? I think I made that point myself. And it's beyond naive to say the contractual situation is a non-issue. Curry, Wright, and multiple lottery picks for 1.5 years (with the playoffs unlikely this year) of Deron = stupidity. Mind-numbing stupidity.

Why trade Deron, he must be happy now that he got exactly what he wanted. Let him now live with the consequences and shoulder the responsibility to lead the team.

Re: Deron Trades
Deron is my second favorite PG (Rose #1), but have you ever read anything about a badass workout program he goes through in the offseason? As sick as he is, he'd be even sicker if he had some sick regimen I would think. His arms look as yoked up as mine, and I hit the gym 0 times a week.

His 2nd and 3rd years in the league, Deron was in the best shape of any point guard in the league IMHO. I remember coming to a free Jazz scrimmage before his 2nd season, and seeing him from the front row. He looked like he had dropped tons of weight and added muscle. He played like it too. We got to WCF that year.
I agree his conditioning this season looks not as good as in recent years...

Nash, as amazing as his production for his age has been, is hardly the definition of fresh blood the Jazz would need if they were to trade DWill. Hill is one slip on the ice away from a hip replacement. No thanks.

Deron Williams to the Clippers for Eric Gordon, Minnesota's 2012 first-round pick (Owned by Clips, unprotected, likely to be top 3), and salary cap filler. The Clippers would trade Baron Davis for a wing player to make their roster more balanced.

Who would play PG for us?

We can worry about that later. All-star point guards are easy to come by.

I can't believe how many trade threads there are....do the ppl that seem to think Deron "chased out" Sloan really think the Jazz are going to just trade him away now???? Sloan either quit like he admitted or lied about his real reasons.....either way he has been no angel and is at least partly to blame for the Jazz's woes this year...ppl are acting like they are Sloan fans and not Jazz fans.....

Re: Deron Trades
I have to agee with jazzed77 on this one. The people on this board that feel the Jazz would be better off without DWill are crazy. He makes this team go. It's time to move on from Jerry (love him) and now make this team into a contender. It's not far off, now maybe the front office and owner will have the balls to do it. Because we all know that we were limited by Jerry and his vision of what a Jazz man is. Ty's view should be larger and better for us all. Hopefully it translates into more wins and a much more exciting brand of basketball.
BE A JAZZ FAN NOT JUST A SLOAN FAN!! By the way Malone is a crazy sucker anyway.

Re: Deron Trades
i'm embarrassed to be a Jazz fan. not because of how they are playing, but because of the reputation Threads like this gives us. Deron is the heart and soul of this team, sure he's a little conceded but that's what comes with people making such a big deal out of you. everytime i see deron in public, its a **** show! people screaming out his name, asking for autographs, taking pictures etc etc... he's a quiet dude that blew up quick. Now he's a top PG in the league, making max money, driving around a different whip every month... i mean he's living how we all would if we had the talent. But the simple fact remains, Deron just wants to win! he's happy when we are, and bitchy when we're not. Not having a full roster right now is killing us, Memo is a nonfactor Raja is ailing and we are struggling.
I'd be upset too. We have a lot of roster flexabilty this year and next with AK and Memo coming off the books. I just wish i'd see Deron show it a little more on the court and a little less on the podium.
Oh P.S. Deron will not be traded! You see how hard it is to trade a superstar like carmelo? Deron would attract far more suitors than melos bitchass
peace i'm out on my rant

I can understand youg people not realizing these two things are the same thing. But believe me... to be a Jazz fan should imply you respect and love Jerry Sloan.
As any other thing in life, "winning it all" is not the only or the supreme value to consider. Sloan embodies a harsh desire "to win the right way". And I will ever prefer him over any player.
