Denver has more to lose than NY does. Ujiri has more to lose than Walsh does. If they aren't negotiating in good faith, then they are screwing themselves. -Jitpal

The thing is... this latest offer really isin't that outrageous. It is basically the same offer that has been debated here, except with the PG swap.

Now, that "offer" that Bucher reported - Mozgov, Chandler, Felton, Fields, Gallo, and multiple first round picks - that was Denver not seriously negotiating.

What is the basis of your argument? First off we get Carmelo Anthony which is our main objective and then we get Chauncey Billups a proven leader, point guard and a clutch player. Both Felon and Billups contracts end on the same year. In what world is Chauncey Billups a downgrade to Raymond Felton. Give me statistical proof and a valid reason and I will gladly take your opinion into consideration.

Thank you!!!!!!!!! Some Knicks fans are delusional.

People think it's outrageous because they are confident we can get Melo in the offseason. Which is kinda true but if we wait till the offseason things can change and other teams will get in the pic. I say get him now.

I completely agree, and I know Donnie is thinking the same way. We would rip through the league. 65+ wins easily. We'd make Miami look like a JV team.

but that's another chapter. Let's get Melo first.

I think they're looking to bring the Nets in at the last minute, or to have Melo panic and agree to stay.

Those are their priorities, I just sense, and dealing him to us is a distant back-up option for them.

I think we're giving up wayyyy too much, but hey, we gotta do what we gotta do to compete. It's a gamble we gotta take. Definitely can't risk getting Lebron'd again, as that would be embarrassing for the franchise. And I'm not even mad at Denver. They're losing their most popular player of all time. Really sucks for them and their fans, but that's life. This is payback for the McDyess deal I guess  (if it goes through of course).

Honestly - I would label Mozgov as untouchable. He is the only pure center on our team and we can't downgrade size. He is on a great contract and he is only going to get better. The most I would do is a Chandler, Felton, AR, Curry and either Douglas, Walker, Purp with cash and a second rounder. I think that is a lot for a player on a team that has no leverage.

Sending Gallo, Felton, AR, Curry plus Chandler and maybe Fields or Mozgov is crazy.

Thank you!!!!!!!!! Some Knicks fans are delusional.

Billups is 35 and fading fast.

Ray is 26, entering his prime, and is better than billups was at the same age.

If it want for this 2012 pipedream, this wouldn't even be a question.

You are the delusional one.

Gotta think that with Melo almost tasting that NYC pizza that he's gonna make it very clear that he wants out. The deadline is here, no more messing around...

Felton is entering his prime and still isn't the player Billups was even two years ago.

Basketball players can have much longer careers now especially those who play furthest away from the hoop. One the league is a softer league now, the rules are very guard friendly, also overall level of comp is lower because there are too many teams. Not to mention sports medicine has improved tremoundously so we are starting to see guys stretch their careers out. That being said I still think Billups is on the decline...

Don't underestimate the fact that Billups shoots 10% better from three than Felton.

He may be on the decline, but you are right about medical and scientific advances.

A half-Billups, half-iron lung hybrid could perform at a high level for decades.
