Donnie needs to grow a sac and tell D'Antoni to let go of his Italian girlfriend.

Besides the fact that billups is a better shooter than felton, he also gives us a ton of cap space next year. and since donnie is supposed to be this great personnel guru,he can always replace the rest of the players. we have both draft picks this yearas well as a second round pick next year, and would have more cap space by trading for billups, there is no reason for donnie to keep messing around. GET MELO NOW DONNIE.

There's no reason to accept the first offer. If Denver won't budge off these demands at 11:55 at the deadline, then yea... you accept this deal. I can live with the Felton-for-Billups part of the deal. You try to keep Gallo (or Chandler) out of the deal though because both can be used as trade assets in the future. Just because we have picks this year, doesn't mean we should dump all our team right now. The idea is to get as many assets as possible. Chander can be VERY useful in a David Lee type trade in the offseason.

Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have a non-paint clause.

i guarantee you 100000000% Gallo is not going to be what holds up any deal between denver and ny.

Melo with a 3 year/65mil deal would kill any plans that year.

We need to keep Gallo to develop him as the 3rd scorer.

I think it comes down to how much we can flip AR for.
Hopefully the Timberwolves are still with giving up brewer & since they wanted a little bit more, we throw in TD & 2nd rd pick without having to take Curry.
This way, DEN gets their 3rd starter in Brewer & 1st rd pick from Minny.

Making the trade look more like;

Knicks gets - Billups, Carmelo

Nuggets gets - Felton, Gallo, Brewer, Curry, & 1st rd pick

Timberwolves gets - AR, TD, 2nd rd pick or 2

we can even throw in Azi & Bill Walker to expand the trade & get a PG from Minny if it comes down to it.

sign barron during break.

then we re-sign Chandler & still have 1st rd pick to use on PG & MLE for big man in the off-season.
Do it in a heartbeat. We would have Fields, Melo, Amar'e, & Mozzy along with Chandler as 6th man. & No telling who we can luck up with in the off-season.

that makes zero sense.

it is a clown controlled environment means everyone else is a clown and he does not want to be. if what you say is true, it would mean that everyone else wants to be traded which we can imagine is not true.

it may also mean he is not happy with the coaching staff.

Theoretically, would that still be as far as you'd go if you knew that a failure to consummate this deal would likely cost you your livelihood (get fired!)?

On message boards, (places where thoughts and statements have no consequences) high ideals are everywhere. In the real world there are pressures and counter pressures that really blur the line of principle and test the resolve of even the strongest deal makers.
