Is Manu hurt?

Post#1 » by wizardg » Sun Feb 13, 2011 11:26 pm

I didn't see the start of the game last night but the boxscore indicates that he didn't start and he played inly 8 minutes.

Plus he's struggled the last few games. Is he hurt.

Pop only knows. I think he's resting him, plus I think - and nothing against the Wiz here - but had we been playing a tougher opponent I think Manu would've played.

We're 7.5 up on 2nd seed, Pop probably figures we risk a couple losses here and there for the sake of getting rest for our key guys.

All the Bloggers and Pops himself have been saying that he;s not starting/playing as much because of a bunch of nagging injuries. Pops wanted to give him some rest and time to heal. And honestly we haven`t really needed him in the last 2 games anyways. I`d rather rest him and make sure that he`s going to healthy going into the playoffs, because without a healthy Manu we`re screwed come playoff time.

Manu was tired (5th game in 6 days?) and Pop wanted him fresh for the 4th quarter (remember how empty we were in Philly). But, we had a good game, so he rested..

you can't have 5 games in 6 days..

back to back

rest

back-to back

rest again

that's 4 games in 5 days at the most. There's no back-to-back-to-back

It was Pop resting him. Manu said something about the bumps and bruises of the season is adding up and he needed the rest. I believe it was on the game recap. The great part about us having a huge lead in the standings is that the guys are gonna be fresh come playoff time. I'm sure we're not getting 70 wins. At the end of the season, Pop is gonna rest guys to get them ready for the playoff.

Nah, we're not winning 70, but we won't need to anyway. March is a pretty tough looking month for us, we got Miami twice, Boston, Lakers.

We should only need 62 or so wins to wrap up the #1 seed, so we should be able to get out guys plenty of rest for the playoffs.

Yeah, there were 4 games in 5 days..
8-9 ; 11-12
You can add 3-4 and you will have 6 games in 10 days..

All of them on the road. Pretty tough..
