Playing in Uruguay

Sorry - I dont read Spanish so I dont know what to post as highlights. But the picture says that his team is in the semifinals. He scored 24 points!!

Biguá sufrió hasta el final pero logró su objetivo. De la mano de Sweetney, venció 96-91 a Welcome en el quinto partido de la serie y se medirá ante Aguada en semifinales. Hoy, Defensor-Hebraica.

Big Mike. The last I heard of him was years ago. I remember someone on here posted that they saw him at Whole Foods, remember that. It looks like they don't have Whole Foods in Uruguay.

You got it all Tommy. Nothing interesting to add. It seems that Sweet ´s team (Biguá) is on semi-finals after winning the fifth game of the series. It also says that Biguá was the best team of the regular season. It doesn´t mention it directly but it seems Big Sweety is their best man and that he is beasting in the post.

I'll always have a soft spot for Sweetney. He was a rebounding savant, but he either just didn't care enough about the game or himself to stay in shape. I remember reading a Trib piece about how he lost a lot of passion for playing after his dad died (might've been right around when he was drafted), which would explain why he got progressively worse as a player from his rookie year, on.

Still, I wish he'd pulled it together. He was a useful player.

I remember him going for several seasons without taking a charge. When he finally did, the bench went crazy.
Bosh has trademarked the name Homo Ostrich in order to prevent announcers and fans from using it to describe his game.

Am I the only one who expected this to be a morbid story about him being found dead somewhere (based on the title)?

Wow, cant believe he hit this low. I mean, Uruguay isnt even among the top leagues in South America. Maybe he will get his chance in Brasil or Argentina.

When I used Google Translate to switch to English, the article's headline said "Full Belly." No joke.

If Derrick Rose isn't a true point guard...then I don't want a true point guard.

Still remember him having an awesome game against Portland on the road, 24/14 in 26 minutes.
