I think most of us would prefer the combo guard (Mayo), although the grizz tried to have Mayo play the point, it didn't go so well. For this reason alone I would go Brooks but then you lose out on Defense...tough call. Mayo would be the easier get though

are u serious? brooks is exactly or almost exactly what we need. super quick pg, made the most 3's last season. i wouldnt mind having mayo, but we do have someone named kobe.. brooks would be a nightmare for other teams to guard if he were on the lakers.

Mayo would be easier unless the Rockets are willing to trade an expiring contract in Brooks for 3yrs 12mil remaining on Blakes contract.

People always forget though that true PG and the triangle dont' always mix. Does brooks really defend well, he's hella small.

I think Mayo could play the point in our system for a while, he's a pretty good defender and probably a better spot up shooter then Brooks. He seems like he could be a nice Ron Harper/ B Shaw type guy for this system for a year or two as he grows.

mayo....Brooks is NOT a true PG, he is a scoring PG....and if Shaw is expected to take over the Triangle will still be in place there rendering a "true" PG useless......and Brooks D is left alot to be desired, Mayo might not be any better but at least he hast he size to guard both Guard position. However if we are sure that we are going to scrap the triange after this season regardless of the coach I prefer Brooks, he can penetrate and cause alot of havoc in the paint, creating easy oportunity for our bigs and kick outs to our "shooters" , we lack any type of penetrator on this team outside of Kobe.

Yea he is a tiny lil somethin'! Phil usually likes bigger guards so I would go with Mayo, although having another O.J. in L.A. might not be good!

Mayo EEEEEEEEEEEEEEASY. Not even a question.

Brooks is 5'10" and plays no defense at all. Mayo is the big guard we need, we don't need a true PG, he can make a few passes and drain outside shots, play some defense, and he has great potential for the future when he'll take on a bigger role.

This isn't even questionable.

Brooks, quick PG's is what the NBA is about, plus he's a deadeye shooter, been hurt this year. Mayo is strictly a gun, a blackhole, he's too heavy, and he just got busted for PEDs, what the heck do we want him for ?
