Pissed off, friends - I dedicated last night to the wife and figured I'd watch the game in the a.m. but LP got there first and did their "condensed game" crap to it, less than 12 hours later. So I got a roughly five minute, badly edited highlights package.

Of all the games to miss out on. Still, your paly by play and summations were a consolation - sounds like we played D, Frye went off (my boy!) and my other boy MP did us proud. Steve was his usual self - i dd see him stick a couple baskets in the crunch. We are going to miss him when he's gone and he won't be coming back,

Can't wait til Thursday. Really hope we find a deal for Carter ....

It should be a "Who was Nash's best teammate today?" poll lol.

absolutely.

Nash has been playing out of his mind in the last few weeks.

I cannot believe he didn't get into the All Star team. Not that he really minds at this stage. But he has been as good as ever. Leads the league in double digit assists and has 31 double doubles. :o

Nash also leads the league in 20 pt/15 ast games. Nash has 9 20/15's, the rest of the league has only 3. Simply amazing. And the fact that he's doing this on a team of basically role players.

Here is a lineup that i think will work for now including minutes. It all depends on match ups though. The 2nd unit lineup would be a high energy lineup like last year. Prietrus and Childress are interchangeable I just think with Nash another 3 point shooter to start with him is good.

Nash 30 Dowdell 12
Prietrus 14 Dragic 24 Childress 16
Hill 20 Dudley 28
Frye 32 Warrick 14
Lopez 20 Gortat 30

I like that starting lineup. I am confident Pietrus can easily replicate VC's play, but with better defence and less circus shots.

Can Dowdell really co-exist with Dragic? Everyone remembers last year's Game 3 against the Spurs. Did anyone also notice that on EVERY POSSESSION Dragic had the ball? And on most possessions he didnt pass, but just looked for his shot? How would that affect Dowdell; who also needs the ball in his hands to be effective?

I think the best option is to let Dragic do his thing, but surround him with three point shooters and Gortat, That way, the keyway is only for Dragic to drive into, and if Dragic needs to, he has three three point shooters to choose to pass to outside.

BENCH:

Dragic
Pietrus (MP plays 30+ minutes a game if VC is absent)
Dudley
Frye
Gortat

Thunder. We seem to match up well against them.

Lakers.

1) I think they're extremely vulnerable. They're not the team they were last year. Two of their starters have been named in trade talks: they might literally be a different team.
2) They're still arrogant. They may be most vulnerable in the first round against a team they don't respect.
3) We can defend their frontcourt now.
4) Think of the story if we win: we'll be so far under the radar, knocking off the defending champs.
5) They get 100% percent of the pressure.
6) Regardless of who they play, I really, really want the Lakers to lose. Almost as much as I want the Suns to win. And I think we'll be the most dangerous low seed at that time.

As much as I would love to eliminate the Lakers.....I am terrified of being eliminated by them again. I don't have it in me to hear it.

Return to Phoenix Suns
