FWIW, last night one team exec I spoke to ranked the Melo suitors this way: 1) Nets 2) Denver 3) Knicks 4) everyone else.

My only fear is Dolan. I wonder if Donnie resigns immediately if the idiot forces him to do a stupid trade for Melo.

It's alright saying we won't gut the roster but if we don't give up a couple of starters we don't get Melo. If we don't get Melo we probably don't get CP3 (regardless of how hard it would be to make it work even if we did get Melo).

Wow, great vision not wanting to gut a team that will has the potential to be possible fourth seeds when Boston get old and we make a couple of 'decent' moves to improve a roster that has one great player and probably no one else who has all star potential.

Which could equal "no job" as well.

Boy would that suck. No Melo and Zeke coming back.

Just wondering... if Melo really wants to avoid getting traded to a team like New Jersey why doesn't he say something the next time a reporter asks him about it. For example someone says to him "Have you heard anything about a potential trade to New Jersey" he could say "I don't know and I have no interest in going there..." or something like that. Then it would blow up and be all over ESPN and probably force the Nets to once AGAIN pull out.

BREAKING NEWS: Nuggets make new proposal to Knicks.

Denver is asking for Felton, Fields, Chandler, Gallo, Mozgov, Spike Lee and the city of New York. My sources tell me that Donnie actually was awake to laugh at this proposal because he mixed his Ambien and Viagra up.
