all Bailed...They were dropping like flys and it was a panic move. Next Plan was Melo. If that fails also, things need to be reevaluated.

pretty sure amare was signed before wade and bosh signed in miami

 ok it was a power move then, a last ditch effort to get a #2 max cat.

Well, we met with JJ and Amare before we met with anyone else.

So wouldn't it be:

Plan A
Plan B- Amare
Plan C
Plan D
Plan E

Didn't we barely present to him?

So I guess the feeling was mutual.

Let's cut the revisionist BS to attack Donnie for bringing in Amare, who has proven completely WORTH EVERY PENNY thus far.

Let's stop conveniently forgetting that people on this board absolutely panicked when they heard that Donnie's second plan if Bron didn't arrive was Joe Johnson and Amare Stoudamire...I'm 90% sure Amare was the second choice (although that may be because they didn't think they had a chance at Wade).
PG- Haliburton | Schroder | Sasser
SG- Grimes | Dick | Bogdanovic
SF- Bridges | George
PF- Hunter |Strus| Fleming
C- Turner | Powell | Wiseman

Did we ever schedule something with Gay?

I can't imagine Donnie having any interest in maxing that kid out

This is starting to get ridiculous, Donni Walsh will blow this up. No deal will get done because Donni doesnt want to blow up a bunch of scrubs that have a Record of Barley 500. And People will bash him about him like they should. Wake the hell up Donni, Carmelo is getting frustrated with all this, Guarantee you he winds up going somewhere else. Or just stays in Denver, Because Donni cant get nothing done, SAS said it best.

You guys could disagree or agree if you want. But i dont see Walsh making a deal. Simply for the fact that he doesnt want to blow up his Roster to get a Superstar. Typical NY.

CP3, Dwight, and D-Will won't come here without Melo? Are you kidding me? We already have a superstar in Amare! Have people just forgotten about him?

I don't want Melo anyway, since he's clearly inferior to the other 3. Given the choice between NY + Amare + a good supporting cast and NJ + Melo + crappy supporting cast, they'll come to NY.

whatever its just getting corny.. The moral of the story is we didnt trade Youth, Picks, the ability to trade Picks to keep settling for Plan B's and C's. and if we wait till 2012, we didnt have to do any of that.

anyway were off topic and i shoulda known what i was getting into, so sorry for hijacking the thread, Amare was on top of everyone list, and his Knees will Remain healthy for 22 years...

Where are these people coming from all of a sudden? Sheesh. Unbelievable amount of BS in the last 10 pages of this thread.

Some guy tweets that the Nets talked to Denver again and suddenly everything has changed? Uh...

Looks like we have a scrub that wants to Keep Gallo, Chandler for Carmelo Anthony. Way to Know Basketball. Last time i checked i dont think a Carmelo Anthony type player comes around so easily to get like this.
