I understand what you're saying, but he has to prove himself in practice before he can land serious floor time.

Last year he could have outproduced Dudley, Hill, Amundson or even Frye when he was slotted at the PF position, but he didn't.

He never got a chance here that is fact and it is plain stupid to never give your lottery pick a chance and then go on to sign even more players for the position.

Just an example of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) Suns management.

That pretty much sums it up.. Too many chromosomes

Let's see if he can string together 10 decent games before we call him a non-bust. Gentry lets EVERYONE play, anyone who thinks he didn't get a fair shake doesnt understand how much NBA players practice between games.

Earl Clark showed me NOTHING special in a suns uni. I was high on hype for quite a while too.

And you too Coogi ? Would rather have Clark over Gortat ? At least JWally sees it as it is.

You have to give talent to get talent. Why is that hard to grasp? Clark was Orlando's 'bonus' in this trade. Without him, and his vaunted potential, that deal does not happen. You can squawk all you want about Clark's opportunities here. He could not crack playing time, and if Bass did not go down for the Magic, he'd be lost in the shuffle there too.

Careful with your answer... that (Please Use More Appropriate Word) label is flying around.

Well said Frank and JWall. I liked Clark, wish he could have stayed, but I like Gortat more. I think if Clark stayed, he wouldn't have bulked up(looks like Dwight is responsible for that) and would have been a tweener. Good for him, I hope he's successful, but Gortat looks to be a better fit for us.
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

This is the truth. Bass came back for two games and Clark's gotten 10 minutes and 5 minutes. I saw a lot of potential when we drafted him, but after awhile production has to outweigh potential. You could argue that we pulled the trigger too soon, but I have to believe that there is some reason that his coaches don't think he is good enough to crack the rotation. As much as we like to think we know, usually NBA coaches are a little bit smarter than we are at this stuff.

You can't really argue that we aren't better off with Gortat now.

It certainly is frustrating, though, when you look at all of the draft picks we traded/given away, and the two first rounders that we've actually kept are RoLo and Clark (until now). I still think RoLo will have a decent career for us though.
