What would you rather see

The PPG this season this year is astounding, but defense is absolutely not consistent from quarter to quarter or game to game. Question is, what would you rather have?

Points scored and points allowed is not really the way to measure the effectiveness of the defense, instead point spread is a much better indicator as it is automatically pace adjusted. Given that I would rather have the 105 to 90.

I agree, the spread is really the true indicator. I also like the basic math of the straight score sometimes though. Straight up when this team gives up 105 points it's just not gonna stop.

I mean, ok so we got the highest scoring offense in the NBA. Let's stop trying to hit the moon with scoring and invest some time in widening that margin. Those guys should be going out on the court thinking they only want to give up 90 points and when they slip up then they're still good.

Those games where they give up 110 points.....it feels like they haven't set out to cap how many points they gonna give up. It almost seems like they haven't even thought of what a 30 pt quarter will do to them if they did that 4 times in a game.
