One can dream I guess.

It's hard to know what to believe at this point, but the truth is always stranger than fiction. This will be an interesting next few days.

It's a plausible theory but I think it's a coincidence that the team played well last night. They are not communicating with the players that frequently or openly, especially if the media didn't find out.

Morning folks

You guys still believe the Nets are in this? You don't think we would have found out last week if they were?

Purely speculation of course, but could Mike leaving the starters in up until the final second of the game despite the last 2 or 3 minutes being garbage time, be for the fans to see some of these guys one last time as a Knick and cheer them off the court together as a unit. Its very likely that was the last time we ever see those 5 guys on the court again.

If the Knicks loose Carmelo Anthony to the Nets Donnie has somewhat failed.

Danny Granger, Gerald Wallace and Andre Igoudala all of their teams will be fighting for a playoff spot this season so they are staying put.

I think you're right. Of course, the other side to it is that they could of played lights out knowing it could be their last game.

Yep, even if there is no Melo trade, you figure Chandler is on the market if they want a shot at bringing Melo in over the summer. If you have to renounce him, you might as well trade him. Turiaf and Randolph could be gone too. I'm actually really excited, change is good. We have a great group of guys now, really easy to root for guys, but I'm excited to see who gets brought in. Melo or no Melo. -Jitpal

Dude, Donnie can only do so much. If the rumors of Denver pretty much wanting our whole team (less amare) are true, then you have to tell them to take a long walk of a short pier.
I personally, would not want anyone else but Donnie, handling this situation.

I do however, fear that Dolan is gonna f**k this whole thing up.

I simply cannot believe that is the real offer. I refuse to accept they are this incompetent.

No wonder Donnie told them to take a hike.

HAHA Oh man, I just realized that was the Knicks starting lineup that beat the Nets. They literally want the team that beat the Nets or an inferior package from the Nets. Classic. Ujiri should go suck a lemon. -Jitpal

Morning..

Well the nets havent said anything to refute the reports yet.. If they are truly back in it then proky fooled me.. to come out so definitively about pulling out of the melo race my thinking was they were sincere.. even melo said that a man like that doesnt go back on his word after coming out like that.. So it could be some more posturing, who knows anymore.. the only thing we do know is Donny wont get took..

And btw, im not really nervous that dolan will step in & f*ck it up, in one of the articles i read this morning it said that everyone wants a good deal, including dolan.. Amare will be with melo tomorrow, shoot they might get up with each other today.. Donnie will get an update on whether melo is willing to wait, if we dont trade for him then we know that he is.. at least thats how i see it

Melo basically checked out of Denver. That is obvious. But I don't hear a guy who is willing to go to free agency. I don't think he will say no to NJ at this point if they make a move.

over there on denvers sorry excuse of a board rebel said this about that proposal:

"Of course I find it funny that Denver's asking price is outlandish, but the idea that the Nuggets would give up Melo for Chandler and a late 1st makes perfect sense for the Nuggets."

and someone else answered him with this:

"You've got to understand that a lot of these reporters are actively working to try to help the Knicks land Melo. The Nuggets could ask for Stoudemire and it wouldn't be outlandish."

these guys are off their rocker.. i feel like we're living in the twilight zone

I dont know if that deal the nets proposed is real or not but their are so many contradicting reports i mean espn and yahoo and cbs are reporting nets negotiating while theknicksblog and newsday say they're out and it seems like no one knows who Denver wants and that may be because Denver doesn't know what they want but i want to be sure this is right but i believe it was Hahn who said Denver doesn't like Fields as much because they believe he is a product of our system while they like Gallo more and now Sheridan is reporting they hold Fields in stronger regard than Gallo and the Knicks do too so I mean they're are so many different stories I don't know what to believe but I do trust Walsh and I think he will do whats best for our organization

The article yesterday with that same exact quote mentioned that Donnie said that followed by a laugh. Just writers twisting quotes to fit whatever agenda they're going for. :-?

Yeah, watching that I don't think he would say no to NJ at this point either. Just look at him smile every time he mentions home or New York. I do think he wants to come here but he really doesn't have the resolve that LeBron, Wade and Bosh did to go to where he wants to be when he can control it. Then again, those guys are in his ear, so maybe they convince him? All I know is, Denver doesn't want to deal and I'm not so sure I want to deal with Denver. -Jitpal

You're right. There are tons of contradictions in these reports.

I do think that one possibility, however, is that the people who are telling Broussard (and that Nets writer who looks like he was cared for by Wojina) that the Nets are back in it are smokescreening.

Why do I say that? Because it seems to me that if Hahn was told the Nets are out, that's pretty good evidence that they really are. And it would indicate that the other stuff are leaks that are designed to confuse the Knicks and others.

Broussard may be a mouthpiece for CAA as he seems to have been in the past with the lebron stories.
