And LOL at Tyreke being up there over the likes of Russel Westbrook, Kevin Love, Rudy Gay, Eric Gordon, Amare, Monta Ellis, plus 10+ more.

What's so funny about that? Tyreke is the reigning ROY, 20-5-5, is young, has high upside, has one of the best transition game & the ability to get to the rim and convert with ease, is one of the better 2-way players in the L and is on a rookie contract for a couple of more years.

This is thread is asking: who has the best trade value not who is better.

Yes I FULLY REALIZE that. But I would rather trade Evans for all of the above players and then some. And actually Bill Simmons backs me up on that too now, considering between then and now he released his own trade value column and had Evans at THIRTY-NINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm sure some of the guys you listed will be voted onto the list ahead of evans, while others won't. no reason to keep harping on the issue. i already stated why i put him in the initial list, if you disagree with that reasoning, fine, but you're complaining about his trade value ranking when he hasn't even been given one yet.

"Okay, how about LeBron and a draft pick?"

That doesn't seem plausible to me at all, but oh well. Guess that discussion is the point of the thread :)

I'll explain why I voted for Rose.

It was tough to decide wether or not to go Rose or LeBron. What made me think Rose is that he is 3 years younger, a lot less expensive (9 million is enough to get a near all-star player with,) he is a leading MVP candidate same as James, and the main reason is that Rose is easy to root for and build team chemistry with. The downside to Lebron is that he takes over an organization making it less of a team sport, doesn't portray the same level of loyalty that Rose does, and he has had bad pr since taking his talents to South Beach. Before 'the decision' Lebron would def. have been no.1, but now is a close 2nd in my mind.

The trade discussion would be more like...
"We'll trade Rose for LeBron - but only if you take on a few of our mediocre contracts to clear up our capspace to go with him."

I was wondering why nobody did this this year. Happy to see it back.

Cubbiemike, do you realize the players listed are only the nominees? We vote on the rankings. Tyreke will end up where the majority of RealGM thinks he should be ranked. It is not a big deal.

It's important to remember this is about objective trade value, not subjectively who you'd rather have

Also as Bill Simmons usually mentions in his article, for most of the really high rankings neither team does it, but whoever considers it more is what determines it. Chicago prob wouldn't do Lebron for Rose, but they'd consider it a lot more than if Miami was offered Rose for Lebron. And to most other teams in the league they'd take Lebron first

Agreed reading the old rankings thread is a trip, so much love for Al Jefferson, Devin Harris, Danny Granger... shows you have to win to keep your value up

I'm not a big believer in Bill Simmons, but I'd be shocked if those aren't the RealGM Top 3 as well. I think there's a substantial gap to #4

Vote: Lebron (is this really a question? A 26 year old two time reigning MVP who is on a very reasonable (hell 30 mill would still be reasonable) deal who could make virtually any team a playoff team and all but a few a contender?)
Nominate: Amare (Idk if his contract hurts him or not. His knees definitely do.)
