Edit: I said that in response to 5494's starting lineup, which did not have Rip in it. I should have checked the rest of the rotation. Glad to know we are all on the same page here.

Id actually be very happy to have Rip here. hes not over the hill, is in great shape, moves as well or better than anyone without the ball and can still light it up

Why in the world would Detroit buy out RIP with another couple years left on his deal. That would be ridiculous...at least trade him for nothing so you don't get hit on the cap.

im pretty sure they can buy him out of part of his contract next year and save some money. they benched him, he doesnt play and his agent wants him moved. its basically an early buy out just tacking on his salary for the rest of this year to his buy out next year.

I hadn't thought of that. If Fields gets traded to Denver, Rip probably would sign here (if bought out).

That would be a very interesting squad in this year's playoffs. Old back court without any depth, probably not enough to make a run. But interesting nonetheless with cap flex moving forward.

That team is still not good enough to do anything this season or next season. People are going to really regret this trade once they find out we don't have any assets to acquire more talent...
People don't understand that CP3 could be availabe via trade as soon as next season. We need to keep as many viable players as we can...
