I like the veggies, but meats are easy and sometimes get in the way. I think the secret is oatmeal. Have a good big bowl of it in the morning with whatever makes it seem real tasty like nuts and fruits and I add nutmeg. Then whatever you need to do the rest of the day is easy. Meat once at dinner or lunch, but you won't need as much. Thing about ostrich is its pure. You assimilate more protein that way. Body only assimilates a minority of most meats consumed and discharges the rest as nitrogen waste, something you can minimize with purer stuff. I eat it raw like sushi (thanks Neneh Cherry) and that probably assimilates even better. I feel nourished eating it raw. I would not eat raw meat from other sources though. Not safe. 4-6 ounces of ostrich will satisfy your primal bloodlust just fine. It is the reddest meat I've ever seen. Definitely not like chicken. I like it. The best cuts are not really cheap per pound, but the ground meat is pretty pure too, unlike ground beef. The point? Eat pure untainted, non-mass produced meat of high quality in smaller quantities and you get what you need and eat some veggies and you're good to go.

P.S. Blackwing delivers it on dry ice. Arrives frozen. Spending $200 on meat on the internet might feel like a luxury, but you'd be surprised at how far it goes and how economical it becomes if it changes your habits a bit. You can spend $150 at the supermarket now and take home lots of crap. And there's a limit to how many questionable roast chickens from the supermarket you want to wolf down. Gets tired after a while.

If you haven't already go check out the movie Food inc. Whatever your tastes are just make sure you're eating the best. Don't put nothing in your body that isn't the best.
