He lived in Newburgh, NY during grade school that's why when he signed he said it's great to be back.

what was he saying?

Said he loves our young players as they have outstanding potential, and tries to use his locker room leadership to help them fulfill it as fast as possible.

Noted that Felton as been a great floor general and has been part of their success.

Said his coaching plan for the rookies was to play Blake for 48 minutes.

It's really not that hard if you're priority is winning a title and rising to the top of the league rather than just being a perennial middling contender that loss in the 2nd round most years with an ECF run or two before Amar'e breaks down if we're lucky health-wise.

You can't just look at the "Knicks reluctance to part with Gallo" comment on its own.... the question is, are the Knicks not willing to part with Gallo in a deal that already includes Felton, Chandler and Fields... or are the Knicks not willing to part with Gallo in a lesser deal or are they not willing to part with Gallo at all? These are three distinctly different scenarios and each has to be assessed separately... we don't really know what the Knicks offer is as of today.

Amare was talking on nba tv and he was saying lot of good things about reymond felton saying he is great
floor general and he like him as a point guard. To me sounded like he knows felton isn't getting trade and other thing he said was city on fire its great win in new york.

The whole idea of getting Melo is so that we don't have to depend on Gallo to become Melo, just a great 3rd option which his efficiency, intelligence, passing, smart defense, length and massive balls give him the ability to become pretty soon even. That's why you don't blow your load early and wait to get Melo at the price you want/need to pay, not the price Denver wants us to pay.

Walsh has a few days to involve a 3rd team in order to keep Gallo. If not then come Thursday  Gallo, Dolan will make this happen.

I'd hate to see a lot of these people try to negotiate **** for their jobs, like contracts. My mom was union president for her chapter, and I've heard all of the stories about contract negotiations.

When you have leverage, use it! Don't give in to the demands of those you're negotiating with just because they put someone you want on the table. Your job is to get the best possible deal for yourself and those depending on you.

Didn't Carmelo use a similar quote the first time he was scheduled to meet with Prokhorov? He said there was no meeting when there was. I would take whatever he says with a grain of salt.

Exactly. There's nowhere near enough context to know what's being asked or here.

Some of these guys would pull the trigger sight unseen, then find out that we ended up with Amare, Melo, and not a whole hell of a lot else.
