Whoever leaked this, if true, ruins Melo's chances of going to the Knicks.

Denver is not going to choose any Knick package over 4 first round picks.

So it's probably WWW or one of these guys who have been pushing him to NJ all along.

I'm not 100% convinced that this is true however. I think Melo is undecided.

F*CK HIM!

By having Melo say that, he effectively eliminates the Knicks. He makes it impossible for the Knicks to trade for him, pretty much.

If true, that makes Carmelo Anthony a certified (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Playing in Miami with 2 all stars alongside you is a lot better than playing with a garbage team like the Nets.

burn lol

not really. lebron knew exactly how much money he was getting no matter where he went. carmelo doesn't. that's the key.

Quite honestly this thing is turning into another Lebron BS nightmare. If Melo is foolish enough to sign an extension with the 17 win Nets after they completely gut their team to trade for him then he will deserve what he gets! He will be miserable there playing in front of a half empty arena to the tune of 20 wins a year.

If this really true and Gallo is the ONLY thing holding up a Knicks deal, then do it.

I dont see Denver getting off their high horse until they have no other options and even then they may just decide to keep him and take their chances in free agency then accept a Chandler/Curry/AR or 1st offer, which is all I see Donnie giving up. And Im glad, just for once Id like to see us get the better end of a deal.

And if Melo cant wait til free agency so our roster doesnt get raped then F him he never really wanted us to begin with.

If Minny's still swallowing Curry's contract that trade would beat a Bosh or Lebron S&T deal and also gets them under the LuxCap immediately. That's a lot of instant savings to go with some young pieces.

Good point, but Denver is being extremely greedy and irrational right now. The only way this is getting done is if Melo rejects NJ one final time and Denver comes to Donnie with hat in hand and stops making these ridiculous demands,
Trust but verify.

His reps are idiots. It's probably them. If the Nuggets believe this source, then they will just say no to whatever the Knicks offer.

One thing I really don't understand is Melo's POV.

He could squash all this nonsense with the Nets and give the team he wants to go to (New York) extra leverage so they don't have to give up more assets to get you. All you have to do is say you are NOT signing an extension with NJ and you do NOT want to go there. Yet he doesn't do this, I just don't see what hes doing here. He doesn't want to be vilified like LeBron was? Hes looking like a gigantic pussy right now and trying to be too politically correct.

lol he'll end up with the Knicks. The story is going to change from hour to hour this should be expected. Worse comes to worse Knicks toss in Gallo to include in a deal with Chandler and AR (1st pick) and he still comes to NY.

Return to New York Knicks
