No, he's not. I was thinking the same thing.

He said he's on board for the Knicks completely. We knew that but it's cool to see.

Come on. He's a jock. He's great at what he gets paid to do.

So, will Knick fans give Melo a good reception if they had to trade 3/4's of the team to get him and effectively mediocre afterward?

Could be real short honeymoon for Melo here.

Kind of feeling that Melo left NYC before his formative years and doesn't understand NYC.

He could be greeted as a hero. If Knicks give up 3/4's team and overpay and the general consensus is Knick's gave up so much because Melo got greedy and weak, then he'll be greeted with nothing but HUGE expectations and venom when it doesn't go smoothly, which of course things never do.

TBH, I don't think that deal beats the Nets offer.

it doesn't beat the Nets offer but it beats it if Melo grew some balls and said no NJ. Nets would not give up 4 draft picks and Stromile Swift lite(Favors) for unextended Melo.

He's not going to NJ...

I really don't even care anymore. I just don't Walsh or rather Isiah/Dolan giving up what the Knicks have to feed this diva. -Jitpal

If Utah continues to slump, I can see Deron Williams wanting out and be available this offseason.

Again guys, enough with the "I can't believe we are going to lose Melo over Gallo" stuff. It depends on what the rest of the offer is... if the offer is Chandler, fields, Felton and Mozgov, are you really willing to give up Gallo too?

We don't know what the current offer is, so we can't really comment on how smart it would be to add Gallo.

If he chooses the Nets, don't boo him.
Laugh at him.
He'll have enough money to not care.

Reporter: "Have you got any news on a meeting with Prokorov and the Nets?

Melo: "I don't know haven't checked my phone for any messages"

Reporter: "Well can you check it"

Melo: "My son has my phone"

Shows how interested he is in the Nets.

If you trade 3/4s of the team. It's ECF or bust. No joke. If we have to deal Gallo, Fields, Felton for Melo, he better carry this team to the ECF. -Jitpal

But he can reject the Nets and the Nuggets can settle for this. Honestly, we don't know what is being said behind closed doors between Melo and Denver. They are the only two parties that can talk freely about the whole situation and Melo holds a special place in his heart for the franchise and the city. He honestly likes Denver and has enjoyed his time there but has outgrown it (and more importantly his wife has outgrown it) that's why he was so affected by the Boos early in the season.

At the most I offer Felton/Chandler/1st or AR /Curry 4 Melo and Billups. Thats it, final offer. They get 3 assets and shed Billups contract. That's more than fair. No Gallo, No Fields. You guys that are so willing to give up Gallo, Chandler and maybe even Fields need to relax. In Donnie we trust.
Trust but verify.

So Melo wants us to up our offer, lol. Gimme a break. My only fear now is that Dolan is ready to capitulate. Like Kos said, it would be almost unimaginable for him to lose Melo to the russian. This whole fiasco is to hit his pride and for him to sell the farm.
