It's Gallo and Chandler or Felton swap. I don't see Donnie agreeing to both

I'm talking about what the Nuggets are wanting right now.

Meaning

PG Billups
SG Fields
SF Melo
PF Amare
C MLE/Mozgov

Ummm, The Knicks can't beat that NJ offer, so Melo saying he'd sign w/Nets if Knicks are out of the picture means "game over". How can the Knicks beat the offer thay cannot even match?

And those saying it's Gallo that's holding up the deal are forgetting that Denver proposal 2 days ago (Chandler, Gallo, Fields, Mozgov, Felton, draft pick(s)/Randolph) that everyone agreed was way too much. What if they countered with the same deal only minus Gallo??

Just a reminder: Melo is not Lebron..

that rib bucher report is only to fuel more fire against the knicks. Don't you think if that is really melo's stance than denver can just continue to deny knicks trade offers and therefore melo has to sign witht he nets. I don't believe 80% of these reports.

Melo is dead set to get that extension. I say no to Melo.

I am not excited to see this if he doesn't come to New York. He doesn't deserve hate.

Yes he does. He'd be going to a worse team for money, all because he was afraid to man up and do what had to be done. That would make him worse than Lebron.

I still don't think he's going to the Nets though. I'm just saying.

so its his fault the other team couldnt put up the package?

people should be thanking him for giving NY a chance, the same chance lebron, wade, bosh, etc never gave

If Melo turns down the Nets, he won't resign with Denver unless they trade the entire team away for what he has done to them this season.

Who knows if the Nets offer is even real... who knows if Melo actually said that.

There's going to be a million rumors over the next 6 days....

and yes, i want to know which other star player has given NY 7 months to get him to NY....i cant think of anyone in the last decade

Then say that straight up. No reason to misrepresent someones argument to simplify your own.

yea this is what i think.. i think hes exercising his leverage by telling them he only wants to come here, but i dont think he wants to help either team with how it happens.. he just said he wants to go to ny and he lets the two organizations deal with the situation presented them.. thats how it seems to me.. it'll be interesting to see the end result

If you guys actually suffered through the Isiah era you may of had more perspective on what we're trying to build here. We've seen misery and now we've seen the light get brighter at the end of the tunnel. We're not settling for mediocrity and we sure as hell aren't settling for a middle-of-the-pack competitor. We're building a CONTENDER. And that means to get the best deal for us possible.

Flipping **** when the guy hasn't signed on the dotted line and 6 days remaining is just showing how bitchmade some of you are. Let the guy who has put us in this position who has 20+ years experience make the move in which he feels is best. There's nothing you or I can do or say about it...but a bitching fanbase only puts further pressure on him to get a deal done and gives Denver the leverage its looking to gain in this situation.

Stay the course!

Take Billups away from the PG spot, he already stated if he gets traded he will not report and wants to be bought out so he can sign with Miami.

Who are you to say he's bad for not coming to New York. What if Melo was playing here and wanted out. How mad would you be if he went public on the one destination he would go? Double sided coin. I think he's trying to respectfully leave.

How much money did LeBron give up by signing with Miami rather resigning in Cleveland?

Wasn't it in the $30-40 million range?

LeBron said he did it because he wants to win multiple titles. Everybody believes him.

Does Carmelo want to win multiple titles? He says he is just like LeBron, it is all about winning. But that is clearly not the case.

Just a reminder: Melo is not Lebron..

exactly because he would rather play with new york, instead of the Nyets.

If he really wanted to go to jersey he would have acknowledged the move a while back.

Why give in right now when you know denver needs to make a move with new york...He isnt that dumb, all he needs to say is i am not feeling that roster in new jersey and the deal is off...or LMAO at billy king for accepting because it would cripple the nets if he does not sign extension.

Anyone else have a terrible feeling about this? We are going to miss out on another superstar.
